It's a lovely house — a traditional Maine summer house with an enclosed front porch overlooking the village and the waterfront. Of course, the windows open (with screens) to create a screen porch atmosphere. Find rocking Adirondack chairs and a table and chairs for morning coffee or a casual dinner as the sun sets. Inside, find 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room, kitchen and dining room. The living room has comfortable furniture along with good reading lights, a television and cable. A high-speed Internet connection is also available. The kitchen is fully-equipped (lots of storage and prep room, thanks to the adorable butler's pantry) with all modern appliances, cookware, dishes, etc. The kitchen also has a breakfast table that can seat 4–6. The dining room seats 6 and overlooks the lawn and waterfront — these two rooms are close enough to comfortably seat a larger party without feeling disconnected. Off the living room find the first bedroom — with twin beds — and the original built-in glass-paned cupboards. This bedroom is afforded privacy, thanks to the butler's pantry, but is just a walk away from the downstairs bathroom (full with shower). The master is also on this floor with a queen bed and its own bathroom (full with shower). Upstairs, find two more bedrooms, each with a queen. Both of these bedrooms are roomy and sunny. The house has hardwood floors and all the original woodwork. There is also an Internet connection at this house. For those who want a change of pace, the larger cities of Rockland and Camden are just 25–30 minutes away. You will get salty breezes, a wonderful front lawn from which to sit and watch the boats come in and out, and a feeling that will last you the rest of the year.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a patio. There's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a dining area. Other standard amenities include a washing machine and a coffee maker.

Rose Cottage
The Rose Cottage is convenient to the store, ice cream store, Dip Net and bar. Screened in porch is the best!

Loved it
Quaint cottage in a working community by the sea. We all (5) loved relaxing on the screened in porch. Cottage was well stocked- microwave, coffee pot, Keurig, large lobster pot, nice towels and linens, washer/dryer, dishwasher- the only thing short on was drinking glasses but not a big deal. Overall experience was great. We ate at the Dip Net (excellent food), shopped at the store( they are stocked with most everything you’ll need), coffee at Squid Ink everyday( great lattes), stopped at the Barn for a cocktail (met some friendly local s and a funny bar keep) and had ice cream at Jessica’s ice cream/bakery shop every night ( her cinnamon rolls and donuts are to die for).
We all agreed…..we love the Rose Cottage and Port Clyde!

Great central location and host!
We loved our two week stay at the rose cottage. It is an older historic home and has both the the quirkiness and charm that comes with a historic home. The location is right in the middle of town, so you can sit on the screened in porch and enjoy the activity around you. The host was extremely responsive to any of our needs and great to work with.
