Had a very relaxing time here, its very rural and very quiet. Lovely room, good amenities but above all, the food and staff are superb. Spacious room, we had a suite with large balcony and views over the garden. Caty, Miguel and Anna were so attentive, nothing was any trouble. Had a problem with the TV in the room, don't go away to watch TV but on this holiday my husband wanted to watch a particular sport event on TV for 2 days and there was no signal so had to go to the local town which wasn't ideal, valuable sunbathing time missed LOL. Thanks everyone, will definitely go back and we are already recommending this place x
Stayed here for a tranquil last night on the island after two weeks in a "resort". We wanted quiet and that's what we got. This is pretty much in the middle of no-where, you will need a car. It was easy to find with SatNav and if you're coming from the Porreres direction there were sign posts off of the main road for the finca (we came from the other direction which was a bit more of an adventure but gps did it's job). The rooms were done to a high standard, super king bed, quiet aircon, 40" lcd tv and plenty of space. A large walk in shower with a huge rain shower head which actually had the water pressure and hot water to enjoy it. The pool and poolside area was well maintained. A good sized pool, deep from the start and large enough that you could still swim a few (short) lengths in it. The wifi is truly property wide with professional WiFi repeaters in place giving excellent coverage everywhere, however it is in the middle of nowhere so is standard rural broadband of about 2mb down and 0.5mb up (not their fault). As a complete get-away it was great, but I wish there was more "service" going on in the day time, for example some way to get a bar drink or something to sit at the pool with or a light snack. If there was, it wasn't made clear to us. The main property is a ghost town during the day with no obvious way to find staff (which is both positive and negative :) ). I also found the evening meal a bit of a let down - especially as we were a captive audience unless you wanted to drive and not drink. It was "okay", but maybe my expectations were set too high by the quality of the rest of the property and experience. For example the menu del dia, a starter of Ham and Melon was mainly made up of lettuce and tomato with four small chunks of melon and two shavings of ham (barely enough for one of the melon chunks), the fish (sole) was expertly cooked, but the sauce seemed to be an afterthought and left as a pool on the side of the plate and then with a little pile of aubergine and carrots, and then just simply icecream for postres (or two apricots and a couple of slices of kiwi). That said, I guess it was only €22. There was an offer of a Menu Carte, but at least half the items weren't available because the main chef was off. Overall though it was a very good petite hotel, I would happily go back.
We stayed here this last week and have to say it has been one of the best holidays we have had. We have two small children and the staff and owner could not have been more accommodating. The grounds and views are stunning and staff are fabulous. If you want a relaxing family holiday I can not recommend this place enough we will definitely be back!
We stayed here for 2 nights in early summer and found this to be a charming hotel. The owner and staff always had a friendly word and a smile to brighten your day. Their daily set dinner menu offers excellent value but there is also an a la carte option if you are so inclined. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed, although the TV was tiny.
We stayed for 5 nights in room 14 which was prefect for us. We spent half the day touring the island and the afternoons and evenings at the finca enjoying the atmosphere, the quiet and the food! I can warmly recommend it to those seeking something special.
My wife, 12 year old son and I have just returned from a 5 night, half-board stay at this beautifully-maintained and extremely well-managed Finca set in a very rural location towards the centre of the Island. We have never been made to feel more welcome or more at home at any hotel and the manager, Juan, is the most amazing and hospitable host. He has a fantastic small team around him who work tirelessly to maintain the immaculate grounds, prepare great food in the kitchen and keep the hotel spotlessly clean to ensure that guests have the best possible holiday experience. Juan also knows his wines and you will not go wrong in following his recommendations. We will be returning !
Excellent food and service !! We had a Tapas - Diner ! The suite ( room nr.1 ) is a own building and have a nice terrace with view in the country. Very nice garden and swimming - pool !! We come again for longer time !!
Four of us spent a wonderful week at Finca Son Roig in late September and came away dazzled by the beauty of the surroundings and gracious service provided by it's staff. Things started out not so well upon our arrival to no fault of anyone but our GPS that had us driving to the Finca on muddy roads that eventually got us stuck minutes before arriving. After contacting Juan the manager, he dutifully came to rescue us and then sent for someone with a tractor to pull our rental car out of the mud . This was done cheerfully and efficiently and set the standard for our weeklong stay. Kudos to Katy ( our hostess ) and Goya the fabulously talented cook for always making us feel extremely welcome with their warmth and personal service. I recommend Finca Son Roig highly and will certainly make it a destination again when visiting Majorca in the future.
Perfect Place for a Quite, still and releaxing stay! Only about 10 rooms mean not more then 20 people in this area. Shure it is in an area you Need a Car and there is nothing realy nothing.. ok an village called porreres but this is dead.. you feel in this finca like on an Island ;) eating is perfect and local and also the stuff is perfect.. we Love it and will come back!
We have just returned from 5 days at Finca Son Roig where we have a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean and absolutely everything is taken care of for you. We had a lovely suite on the ground floor so the children (12 and 8) could run backwards and forwards from the pool to collect various swimming items! The pool is beautiful and even when the hotel was full (towards the end of our stay) it still didn't feel busy. In fact, the whole place doesn't feel busy - it has a calm, welcoming atmosphere and the staff cannot do enough for you. We were looked after by Juan who was always happy to give us information about local food, places to go to or just to bring us a (large - beware!) gin and tonic by the pool. The restaurant is excellent and breakfast is vast! The friendly kitchen staff make fresh omelettes in the mornings and serve local and fresh dishes in the evening - the wine is also lovely. Palma is about 40 minutes away so we spent an afternoon/evening there enjoying the cathedral and shops and restaurants. The town of porreres is very close - we went for a leisurely walk there and had dinner at Es Centro - fabulous food, lovely staff. We also went to S'arenal as it is another nearby-ish place, however we won't be going back there!! We had a lovely break at Finca Son Roig and spent a lot of time relaxing as a family - chatting by the pool (amongst the children diving in and snorkelling - they were very welcome throughout the hotel) or eating a late breakfast or enjoying wine on our veranda. It is a truly lovely place run by lovely people and we'll definitely go back.
