What an absolute treat! This property is located at a wine vineyard with tons of history of the Calheiros family! We enjoyed walking the vineyard and a tour of the original family home of the Count of Calheiros! Truly a spectacular experience!

The grounds are magnificent! The studio was charming and beds were comfortable. Everywhere were water fountains making it so relaxing. we were there for 3 days and it wasn’t enough. Would highly recommend!

TrĂšs bel endroit , chĂąteau et site magnifiques, mais .....si certaines chambres ont fenĂȘtres et belle vue , d'autres doivent se contenter d'1 porte fenĂȘtre , voir d'1 vasistas (sous les toits),il semble que le fait d'ĂȘtre dans 1 chĂąteau ou Ă  cĂŽtĂ©, doive suffire au client ,qualitĂ© du service et de la chambre sont superflus !!!! Paco de Calheiros - charming

Superb stay. The house has been restored beautifully, the gardens are a delight and the views are wonderful. We were particularly pleased with the service - the very gracious Count of Calheiros (whose family has owned the property for generations) joined us for breakfast and gave us an enthusiastic and informative tour. It's not the place to come if you want mod-cons (e.g. the beds are on the firm side and there are no televisions in the rooms) but it is utterly charming and we would definitely return.
