Disliked: Cleanliness
Could have been nice but just wasn’t
I have to start by saying that owner and the cleaning lady tried very hard to make things right but just couldn’t.
The occupants before us left late and trashed the house so we could not fully access the property until 6 pm instead of 3 pm. We were able to hang out in the living room but it really messed up our ability to rest and clean up before going out for the evening.
The second day hundreds of ants appeared in one of the bedrooms. The cleaning lady dropped off bug spray but they just kept coming. I also killed a cockroach in the room. It was extremely off putting especially since the bed situation is a trundle bed on the floor. Two of my kids slept on the couches downstairs.
The downstairs is well air conditioned but the upstairs is not. Luckily it doesn’t get the hot in the Azores.
On the third day the downstairs toilet started leaking which left us with a single bathroom for my husband and I and three teen age daughters.
It was a very disappointing stay.
