Terrible experience and everyone we travelled with felt the same. Service was shocking. 1 toilet roll 40 minute wait in drinks No cocktail glasses for martini and served in a cup No stem wine glasses left for dinner 1 pillow reach not even hotel quality A toilet that didn’t flush No cork screw in a room for wine in the Hunter - really and the list goes on.

Just spent the weekend here in one of the villa studio nice size but showing it's age the rooms entrance was dark, the bathroom has dated but a descent size though the bath is small. Nice view of the golf course and the kangaroos about is a nice feature. The staff were great and helpful. But the Chinese owners need to put money into a refurbshment.

Really loved the location. The rooms are large and the views over the golf course was fabulous. The only improvement I would make is the beverages at the breakfast bar . The coffee station was poor. The tea tastes like coffee as you have to use a coffee machine and there are no teapots. They had a good variety of teas. Coffee had to be drunk out of paper cups because the normal cups were not replenished by staff . They get a lot right but surely they must recognise the "peak-end" effect for guests. We remember the highlight in the middle and the end.. of an experience - worth getting your beverages right. Otherwise Well done.

Nothing to do but relax and indulge in the 5 star romantic luxury. Perfect atmosphere & outlook, stunning rooms and wonderful staff. We love the cosy romance of the spa rooms but have enjoyed staying in the villas as well. We are repeat visitors to Chateau Elan and will keep coming back!

beautiful resort, staff are very friendly and helpful. spa treatments were fantastic and the staff were very professional and helpful. the room was beautiful and clean. the only downside was the bed was extremely soft and sunk in.

This did not feel like a 5 star resort, food in the Legends grill was terrible, room was dated, pool facilities poor (e.g. no towels) and staff unhelpful (e.g. did not offer to help with luggage). Worst of all, the coffee at breakfast came from a self-serve machine.

Most hotels we have stayed at in the past normally take a card holding fee where as here they took the first night via Booking .Com before arriving and the second nights charge on check in, we joked so you think we are going to run away ! The room was large and adequate with large bathroom shower and spa bath however there were some maintenance issues such as tv had no sound initially, bathroom silicone in shower floor had mould and cracked broken tiles. Bathroom basin had multiple surface fractures , Tap was worn down to the brass the front of the vanity cupboard has water damage and there was no toilet brush. Tea cup was chipped , paint chipped, door damage and dirty. Bar area was welcoming , bar man was nice , no room service in room so had to order takeaway from kitchen , duck spring rolls x4 were $18 not worth it, the chicken wings in tamarind sauce were awesome for $17. Bar prices were average, I was served in a glass with a chipped lip which could have cut my lip Sat am breakfast we had been advised was $20 pp, went in dining room for breakfast very tired decor , food very average and set up average multiple cups and saucers were chipped. Spa on Saturday was highlight of the stay we loved it Dinner Saturday night at the restaurant took ages to come , when it arrives glazed carrots were rock hard we sent them back. We seat was hanging off in ladies toilets which I did mention to a staff member due to the risk and nothing was done Dining carpet has a hole in it , chairs and tables were very old and dated , decor very tired Check out Sunday am we were advised breakfast was actually $28 per head unless booked at time of your room booking , I advised the receptionist we had been tiled $20 by staff at the restaurant but that didn’t seem to matter , staff need to know what to say when asked these things Would we stay again here , no sorry we wouldn’t 5 star we would also expect some complimentary slippers the bathroom floor was freezing and room service would have been a nice option Overall not much quality contrail going on

We stayed in the spa suite for my partner’s birthday and we have been absolutely blown away. The staff have been so lovely and attentive and the views from our room are unreal. The food at the grill was fantastic as was the experience; upon hearing that I was vegan, the manager came out to greet me and asked me what I would like. This was such a lovely touch and made it feel like my dietary requirement wasn’t a burden. I ordered the stuffed pumpkin which was so good I ended up getting it the next night as well. The buffet breakfast was also brilliant, super impressed again by the dietary options (specific gluten free bread and toaster available for gluten intolerances and coeliacs). Everything is always clean and pressed when we arrive to our room and the decor is really lovely. The spa was an amazing experience - I’ve never experienced anything like it. It was classy, refined, and so relaxing. We will definitely be returning in the future and I’ll recommend this to everyone when I’m home. Also the kangaroos are so cute.

Well, the place is being run on a smell of an oily rag.... staff show no enthusiasm or interest in you, well they do when you pay in full on check-in which is something I've not seen before. No room service, that's changed since our last visit. For the money they charge I'm sure you'll find better elsewhere

A lovely stay. Amazing location and surrounding grounds. Staff very helpful and friendly. The only thing that lets this property down is the lack of detail in the cleaning in the common areas, the age and wear of the furniture in the room, the cracked tiles in shower and the decor is dated. It basically just needs some TLC.
