Overall the hotel was clean and tidy and our room was spacious and pleasantly decorated. Our big disappointment was the meal in the restaurant which took the shine off our stay. For the evening meal my wife chose rabbit as her main course and it was very chewy as it had not been cooked slowly in a sauce. I chose trout with a mixture of vegetables. Sadly the trout was totally tasteless.

We were very impressed with the location for La Grand Pavois boat show, 15 min walk, and also to La Rochelle centre, 15/20 min walk.
The rooms were very comfortable, and so quiet. Breakfast, which was included, had a good range of pastries, breads, pancakes, cakes, cheeses, cereals, fruit and hot drinks.

Breakfast was a highlight here. Lots of delicious options. We had a room for 3, which was a little tight, but it had a spacious balcony. Easy 10 min walk to the marina, restaurants, or train.
