Stayed for one night. Hotel is tired and could do with redecoration. Bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities were fine. Breakfast was awful and not worth 15 euros each… felt ripped off.

Well situated, comfortable hotel.

The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Poitiers and close to some excellent restaurants. Fantastic front of house service and recommendations. Decent room and comfortable bed.

Fine place for a night

Staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. Rooms are weirdly designed and decorated - dark and drab. Nothing wrong with them - clean, had everything you need - just very odd design choices.

We were very disappointed to find that the parking was not available. I had asked when booking for parking but on arrival was told it could only be reserved outside the websiter and was fullly booked. The hotel was right on the edge of the pedestrian area but the area felt a bit seedy.

Good hotel in city centre

Very clean and comfortable. In City centre so great for restaurants and bars etc. Poitiers is a very attractive city centre with pedestrian only areas. My only gripe is tea making. Being English we generally don’t like cream in tea. Much better to have milk. More than 2 tea bags would be great.

Parking ; a problem!

There is a problem, PARKING. the hotel only has limited space in its secure underground car park, and you can book this in advance, however you are not informed that this is the case with bookings.com. So when we arrived we were told that we could park next door in the public multistorey car park. which we did and then went for lunch. On our return two hours later to collect our bags and check in we found that three windows of our car had been smashed and two coats removed. The hotel staff were very very sympathetic and very helpful, one member accompanied me to the police station and helped with translation. Whilst there I discovered that another car had been broken into this was a French person. The hotel then allowed us to move our car to their underground car park as it was now open and vulnerable to further thefts. The hotel were also very good at phoning for help but none was available, there were two bank holidays also they lent me a good powerful hoover to remove a lot of the broken glass. So yes a good hotel well situated but try to book the hotels own parking.

Staff were excellent and friendly. Only complaint was that fire alarm went off in morning and staff did not seem to know what to do and had no information to give us.

Decent facility but lack of maintenance. It’s poorly staffed so the reception ladies need to run up and down while operating the garage gate remotely. Overstretching human resource compromises customer services and ultimately hurts business.

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Poitiers. The staff were helpful (they reserved a taxi for us). The breakfast was plentiful with lots of options of cheeses, yogurt, breads, eggs and meats. The bed was comfortable and large enough (nice king size). We would stay there again if we visit Poitiers again.
