The slots are pathetic you can't even get a free spin and if you do get one its not worth s spin. It has become so bad you are not even seeing the regular high rollers anymore!!! Biggest crap show ever !!! Save your money for a lottery ticket the odds are about same !!!
Welcoming staff at the hotel, rooms are spacious, has 43 ATV, mini fridge and microwave, we had 2 beds and the beds are worn out, hurt our backs but decent stay. The casino staff is nice and the security is respectful, has plenty of slots and some tables, slots don’t hit but we don’t gamble much either so that might’ve hampered our ability to win. The Buffett food was okay, it was Wednesday so it was Mexican night, it was edible but nothing to be enthusiastic about it. We had some hiccups; first at the Trophy’s it clearly states online that imports are $3.75 yet they tried charging us $4.25, said we was wrong and the website is wrong, the male and female was hesitant to pay attention to us sitting at the bar, clearly an issue that needs addressing. Second issue is you can’t bring any alcohol beverages into the hotel, SMH, just purchased at the store and was unopened, we should’ve been advised of this. We won’t return and wouldn’t recommend.
I stopped by the Choctaw Casino as I was staying over in Ft Smith. The casino is a great improvement over the previous on that I used to go to. The food in the buffet was really good ,They have a theme on different nights ,I had the Chinese which was really good. I will go back soon.
We recently stopped in Pocola to hit the casino and spend a night. Check in was well rehearsed and uneventful, but one small detail still lingers. My wife and I prefer to handle our own luggage using the hotel luggage carts. I guess since I was not using the services of the hotel bell desk, the front desk, well rehearsed, check in lady thought it necessary to remind me to bring the luggage cart back down when I finished unloading. My momma taught me manners a long time ago, but I guess in todays me...me...me... world, such instructions may be necessary. The room was great... very nicely appointed, clean and large. Bathroom linins were a bit rough, but adequate. The AC was quiet and efficient. However, the walls must be a bit thin cause from the time we checked in, all night, and to the time we checked out, we could clearly hear the TV playing next door. Loud enough that I finally fabricated ear plugs from moist tissue pieces to help me get some rest. We played the slots all afternoon and into the evening, and left with the same amount of money that we came with. What more could you ask for at the casino?? I may try a different hotel in south Fort Smith next time. Its only a ten minute trip from there to the casino and breakfast would be free..
No buffet until 4 in the afternoon..They need a new chef and sous chef..the food was horrible. We had planned to spend the night, but one look and smell of this place, We decided to go to the Cherokee Casino in Roland. The gift shop at Choctaw had a sign saying they would be back in 15 minutes, the girls waited an extra 10 minutes and never did see anyone at the shop. We played a few minutes in the high limits and actually won some money and took the money and "Ran" We will not be back. Sorry!
Fun casino and staff is generally friendly. We have never stayed in the hotel, but seems busy and front desk very professionally managed. The slot machines truly are a spin of luck. Last two visits we managed to walk away with more money than when we entered the casino. Machines are updated and match what is popular in Vegas. The buffet offered on Christmas day and New Years eve went from a zero star buffet to a 5 star buffet recently. Go to the buffet, delicious but busy. $35 a person, reasonable for the variety and quality of food! Entertainment and concerts offered are great. Check the schedule of performers scheduled. Soooo... I would highly recommend. However, with full service casinos coming to Arkansas, this may have a direct hit to their bottom line. STAY AWAY at the beginning of the month. Most guests seem to be spending their social security or disability payments... different set of folks if you show mid month. Lastly, learn to smoke. Most people were smoking cigarettes while gambling. At 50 years old, just started to smoke, thanks to Choctaw! Up to 3 packs a day.
Fun place with free drinks and parking. Depends if your lucky if you win. Didn't like that they allow smoking. They do have a pretty good buffet. There is a hotel and gas station also on site and gift shop but I did not use any of them.
Great rooms that are NON Smoking and great venue for a concert! We had a great time! Thanks for bringing Tracy Byrd to Gilleys! Several food choices. We will definitely keep our eyes open for more concerts.
Rooms are excellent. Ample slot machines and table games. Good steakhouse, good concerts, and good for big meetings. We have quarters meetings of 200+ people, and always receive outstanding service. Rooms are also inexpensive
I live near this Casino and I go there about 4 times a week. The Buffet sucks, they just can't get it right. Their smaller restaurant, Trophy's, has a good breakfast with a very average lunch and dinner. Their waitresses are excellent The rooms at the hotel are average but are a good value. The Casino is clean and has lots of slots. I have gone to practically all the Indian Casinos and if I had $1,000 to bet, I would probably go this Casino first. You can tell after you walk thru the Casino if it is worth your time to spend much, If nobody has money on their machines and you don't hear lots of bells and whistles going off, you might just bet $50 and leave. Like most of the Indian Casinos, particularly the smaller ones, the machines are either turned off or turned on.If you are going to hit, normally it will be pretty quick. All in all, Pocola Choctaw is near the top of my favorite Casinos.
