Phenomenal by name, and phenomenal in reality. An oasis of luxury in the national park. Wonderful attention to detail, with a wonderful team. Accommodation was faultless, and the restaurant was amazing. High quality local cusine, prepared and presented beautifully.

Great location behind the big waterfall, where you could see it from the top with a 5 min walk. It is perfect by a car to go to the hotel or you will need a taxi to the hotel from the entrances or major bus stations in the area (around 30 euros as of April 2025). The property was exceptional with beautiful decorations and quality furniture, and was extremely comfortable in the beautiful nature. You can walk to enter the park through a location near the upper lake port. If you take this option, I think you might better to buy a ticket on line in advance as you will need a ticket to ride on a boat to go to lower lake. Of course you can go to entrance 1 by your car or a taxi. The staffs were very helpful giving advices on my plan in the park.

Looking forward to coming back

We spend two nights at a room for a couple. The breakfast was excellent, the staff attentive and polite, the room was clean and well maintained. Plitvice national park is a short walk away so we could enjoy the nature without having to start the car during our stay. We are looking forward to our next visit when we need a break in the nature.

Very cold and uncomfortable lodging (Pinus)

We stayed in the 2 bedroom house called Pinus in November which meant it was quite cold and was below freezing overnight. It is heated with ONLY a fireplace which took us at least 6 hours to get the rooms to a comfortable warmth. This was a big problem for us, because we had spent the whole day walking in the national park and just wanted warmth. The disappointing part is that the staff know that this house does not have a heating system, and it seemed like the fireplace had only been lit shortly before we arrived. We assume that noone had stayed in the lodging the night before, because it took so long to warm up the floors, furniture, etc. We had to get up several times during the night to put more firewood in the fireplace to keep the place warm. Knowing the low temperature of the time of year and how long it takes a small fireplace to heat an entire "cabin," we would have expected the staff to start the fireplace much earlier in the day. Additionally, there was no glove provided to open the fireplace door which was VERY HOT to the touch. We did call reception and they sent housekeeping with a cloth. Also, we were disappointed that if we used more than one tea bag or instant coffee packet per person, we would be charged 3 euros for each additional one. This policy seemed out of sorts for the pricing of the lodging. I had read about this in one of the reviews and frankly thought it must have been a mistake but found out that it was true (see picture attached).
