The place is beautiful and comfortable. The food and wine that they offer is so good. But the staff is really amazing. My husband and l will back to this place for sure. 100% recommend.

Both the dinner and breakfast were excellent. The B&B is conveniently located by Entrance 3 of Plitvice NP and that entrance is not crowded. Beautiful area

Great service and experience if you are in the area and visiting the waterfalls. Only negative is that the walls/doors are very thin so you can hear the other guests in the other rooms.

Truly one of our favorite spots we stayed on the trip. The dining options, particularly dinner, are curated to get a local experience, down to the Croatian wine recommendations. It is important to note, if booking through Expedia, the owners text you the menu and need your order by 4pm. Also, if going to the park, you must purchase your tickets online because the Villa is located by Entrance 3 which is more of an "unofficial entrance". Overall, highly recommend!!! Everything about our stay and experience was wonderful.

Wonderful place to stay

Villa Sumrak was amazing! This is a family-run B&B and you can tell a lot of care has been put into it. The rooms were very nice and comfortable, and the scenery in this area was quiet and beautiful. The B&B is very close to an unmarked 3rd entrance to the national park. It is a 5 minute drive and then 5 minute walk into the park to P3, where you can catch the boat into the park. Marko was extremely helpful in giving us details about the park, that entrance, and the best route to take. The food was great. Breakfast (extra $19 euros) was an amazing spread. Dinner was also excellent and they had a great selection of Croatian wines to choose from. They serve it nightly from 7-8pm, and you need to make a reservation and place your order in advance. Truly a wonderful experience staying here, highly recommend!

LIKE A WARM EMBRACE (Heather and Andrew from Australia) My husband and I stayed for three nights in June, and it was a highlight of our trip in Croatia. The care from Matija, Dora and Marco was outstanding, as was the venison stew. The wine list and the food choices were exceptional, and if you went out on your daily expedition hungry then that was definitely not a breakfast catering issue. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the host family ensured your comfort needs were met. The local knowledge of Plitvice Lakes was also a highlight, with Matija providing a suggested itinerary for exploring the national park (access to the park is via gate three - a relatively easy walking distance from Villa Sumrak). Highly recommend this venue to stay.

Plitvice lakes stopover.

A lovely overnight stay for visiting the Plitvice lakes and national park. Accommodation lovely but did not get message about booking dinner but restaurant next door very good. Not a location where you can find many restaurants and is in a relatively remote location. Described as a B&B but breakfast was extra, very good but 17 euros each. Room and property very nicely done and high quality.

Welcoming and beautiful

So amazing! It’s the last place on the end of the village. Really close to Plitvice National Park but up in the mountains. The room was cozy and comfortable. What stood out the most was the friendly and fun staff as well as the food. If you stay here, plan to stay for dinner. The food is unbelievably tasty. The family owned hotel feels like home.

Highly recommend Vila Sumrak. Beautiful setting, great service and felt totally looked after by Marko and family. Only a 20 min walk to entrance 3 for the lakes, very convenient as we didn’t have the flexibility of a car. Marko advised us how to access a truly beautiful viewpoint which we walked to a number of times, the evening was truly spectacular as it felt that we had the whole park to ourselves. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and dinner there, would recommend the mixed grill. Overall a wonderful place to stay while visiting Plitivice Lakes.
