This place is safely nestled inside a secure gated community. We were given the remote control for the iron gate, the remote access key to the swimming pool, and keys to the apartment. The apartments have 24 hour security into the complex and we were given a remote access card which lifted the barrier for us to drive through securely without waiting for the guard to take our details.
Although basic, we found everything we needed in the apartment - fridge, dishes and silverware, microwave, coffee maker, AC, huge TV with all the channels, shower, and four beds plus a sleeper sofa.
By the way, there is a beautiful new little park just outside the gate with walking trails, workout areas, and lovely shaded trees. The host responded quickly to all our inquiries, both via VRBO and WhatsAp. The smaller AC in the bedrooms didn't work as well for us as the larger unit in the main living area, but we were very comfortable with the temperature throughout the apartment. I would describe the apartment as a simple, no frills apartment which included all the basic necessities in a safe secure location. The pool was nice, clean and well maintained. You will need a car as it is a 15 minute drive to the beach and downtown shopping. There were some really great restaurants five minutes drive away.
