This beautiful property was perfect for our large intergenerational group (2-76). Beautiful location, superb service in every way, big bedrooms and gathering spaces. It truly could not have been better!

Spectacular

Our whole family wholeheartedly agreed that this was the very best winter vacation we've ever had. The house was spectacular, the weather divine, the staff was ALWAYS friendly and efficient and helpful, the additional experiences (yoga, massage, snorkel trip) fabulous. We can't wait to return to Placencia Caye!

Family vacation one we'll remember for years to come

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Island Breeze Villa. The entire team was fantastic. Kenton was the "Man"--prepared wonderful meals for us. Sergio was exceptional in anticipating our needs and taking care of us all. Our housekeeping staff was wonderful. Thank you for making our family vacation one we'll remember for years to come!

Gorgeous house and breathtaking location. jazz, Julia and Heidy took great care of our group of 7. This was, by far, the most smoothly coordinated vacation and adventures we've ever had. Well done, and highly recommended!

Beautiful Oceanfront Villa

My stay at this villa near Placencia was absolute bliss. The view of the Caribbean Sea was simply stunning, and being so close to the heart of Belize added an extra layer of excitement to my trip. The villa itself was spacious and beautifully appointed, with a rooftop pool that provided the perfect spot for relaxation and soaking up the sun. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views. Five stars all the way!

It is truly a spectacular property

Three families went to Island Breeze Villa. It is truly a spectacular property with a canal on the front and beachfront on the back. Three stories with wonderful living spaces on each level. The attentive staff of Chef George, Captain Jazz and Abner property manager were at our beckon call. The food was delightful. Gecko does such a great job from initial contact through each phase of our stay. We will be returning.

Perfect house, location, and more

The house was nothing short of perfect. Big rooms with ac units that kept you cold at night, comfy beds, and nice showers. However, the roof is definitely the crown jewel of the house. The pool looks right across the bay and is the perfect spot for watching the sunset and some evening cocktails - which you can make at the full bar station on the roof! We visited the village almost every night if our stay for dinner or drinks, which is made easy by the house being less than a 5 min boat ride to the village dock! Overall, couldn’t recommend this property enough!!!

Belize perfection

We had the most incredible week in Placencia staying at the Island Breeze Villa. The management company, Gecko Vacation Rentals, saw to our every need and we could not have been more impressed with the house and service we received. The house itself was perfect for our group of 9 adults (with 2 adults sharing the bunk room, wouldn't recommend it for more adults than that) - there were tons of areas to spread and hang out, with the beach/volleyball court in the yard and patio at ground level, tons of room in the main level to eat, play games, and hang on the patio, then the upstairs level with the pool, bar, and furniture was the place we spent most of our time. The views are absolutely incredible - true paradise! We loved how the place was on Placencia Caye, so there was a bit more privacy, but Placencia town is only a short boat ride, paddle board/kayak, or swim across the way.

I may stay here once a year every year

Location is almost beyond words, but let’s start with “gorgeous”, “inspiring”, and “tropical”.House and property are are better than advertised. Pictures don’t do it justice. It’s an environment that really lets you relax.And the staff…WOW! Chef Marvin’s breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were amazing. Fresh flavorful and full of local vibes but still accessible and tasty for the less adventurous eaters in our crew. Leslie came in daily to clean and keep the place lovely. The boat crew were awesome…loved traveling with with them. Always there when we wanted to get around the island…courteous and fun and super safe.Property manager communication was very proactive and pleasant.BEST VACATION EXPERIENCED AND BEST VACATION VALUE EVER!

We enjoyed it thoroughly

It is a great location with friendly staff, very helpful. Don’t expect to take a walk right out of the villa. A boat(provided), needs to taxi you to the mainland. We chose to take a Monkey River tour. That was very informative and fun. The jungle walking proved to be a quagmire due to previous rains. Wear hiking boots. We had a chef, Kenton, who was very good. We went into Placencia and took a guided tour of local eateries. Learned a lot about Belize’s culture. The water is not crystal blue and clear as you may think. Expect a very natural setting. No concrete curbs and finished roadways. We enjoyed it thoroughly.

Absolute perfection!

We loved how the place was on Placencia Caye, so there was a bit more privacy, but Placencia town is only a short boat ride, paddle board/kayak, or swim across the way. Our main property contacts, Jose and Sergio, were so welcoming, kind, and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed - and was only a text away if we needed to get across the water - they went above and beyond to make sure we had the most special vacation. The onsite chef, Britney, was also absolutely incredible and also went above and beyond to make our stay special and celebrate the several birthdays we had while there. They all ultimately became like family by the end of the trip - this is a vacation we will never forget and always treasure.

Gecko- you have a fabulous staff. They are keepers

This is our second stay with gecko in Belize. The first stay was in 2021 and we stayed at southgull. this time we stayed at island breeze. Both times were amazing. Island breeze is a really nice, newer home. The home is located on a little island with a few other homes. The home comes with a boat captain who takes back and forth between the pier and the home. I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a ride! Juanito even got up for me and my hubby at 5am so we could get a ride to the pier so we could run before the heat. Abner was also part of the crew and he did just about everything. Marcin was our chef and Brends took care of the home for us. They were really incredible. Always smiling and willing to assist us in anyway that we needed. They were kind and i cant thanks them enough for being so great with our kids too. We just loved everyday and they made our trip. Heidi was our concierge and she was also amazing! Gecko- you have a fabulous staff. They are keepers
