Lovely views, great swimming pool, comfortable bedroom & delicious breakfast
The toilet in my room did not flush properly and got blocked, when I did try to flush the chain water came up through the sink plug hole which smelled of sewage and when I ran the tap in the sink water bubbled up through the toilet. I reported this to staff at reception and although they apologised I wasn't offered a change of room and was told that a plumber would be hard to get over the weekend. When I reported it again in the morning was a told that a lot of people had complained about the water that day. No pressure in the shower - water came out as a dribble. Bed was very uncomfortable with springs poking in my back all night. Hotel was uncomfortably hot and generally quite old and run down. Disappointing, glad I only booked one night and won't be staying again.
We arrived at hotel at 5.30pm. The check in is from 3pm, the room was bitterly cold like being outside. The reception check in staff went to the room to check the heating but the heating wasnt working. We asked for a heater then another one but the toilet was so cold it was like being outside. The room needs properly heated before guests arrive. We paid £130 and had the most uncomfortable night ever .

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
The single room was fine; comfortable bed, lovely fresh bedding. The bathroom was ok but the bath and shower were a bit challenging for an old person.
Very good breakfast choice!
Very pleasant staff
Bar menu, all the usual food you see in almost every hotel. Disappointing.
We arrived 3 hrs early thinking we would explore the town before check-in. Unfortunately it was pouring of rain. My partner asked in the hotel to use the toilet explaining what's our plans were to the receptionist who offered us access to the health suite, we were delighted and really appreciated early access to the health suite. We practically had it to ourselves. It was lovely, the sauna was very relaxing with the tranquil music softly playing. It really made a difference to our stay, gave us more time to enjoy the hotel after booking in. Our room was warm, cosy, clean. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant. The following morning we had a lovely breakfast, all fresh and plenty of options to suit everyone. Prices in the bar were reasonable offering a relaxing area to enjoy a few drinks. Staff were all really lovely, so helpful. All in all we had a lovely 2 night stay definitely recommend and hope to return in the future.
Buffet lots of choices freshly cooked and quickly replenished. Bar efficient and nice bar meal options room large with good views, room was a little cold, but a extra heater was already in the room so no problems. Enjoyed swimming pool sauna and whirlpool. Dog friendly so would stay again

Liked: Cleanliness
The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was lovely. But overall I was disappointed, the decor in the pool area and in my room was very tired, my shower was so old I had to google how to use it - but then I still couldn't get it to work and had to wash my hair in the sink! for >£100 per night its not what I'd expected. I reported this to reception in the morning and they said they'd take a look

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The staff were very nice however the hotel is incredibly tired. Rooms were clean enough but very tired and pretty basic.
The food was good however, and the pool small but nice - not quite a spa but fine.
