We were very comfortable here. This was the most space we had in a room the whole time we were in Europe. I would return to this hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very large, clean room with vintage/antique furniture; charming, but uncomfortable. Interesting and historic building with lots of unrealized potential. Nice location with many restaurant options for evening meals and a scenic walk along the Arno River. No air conditioning in my room (I understand some rooms have AC, but mine did not.) It was not clear in the booking that the hotel did not have AC in all rooms. Could not keep window open as the screen did not fit and the large gap let in mosquitos. My room had a fan that just moved around the hot air--I like to take a break and go back to the hotel to refresh during the day, but really couldn't. Stayed in the room only to sleep and shower. Even without the heat, the room was not a place to relax--only one chair and a television that had only Italian-language stations. Nice towels in the bathroom, but the shower did not have any water pressure. Limited AC in the common areas of the hotel; the photos make it appear larger than it really is. Distance to central train station is ok if you don't have luggage; it was a rigorous walk while carrying 2 large bags. I chose this location as it indicated that it was close to the medical center--the hotel is not close to Santa Chiara Hospital; if you are going there, I recommend a taxi. Didn't get the value expected considering the price of the room, but I did feel safe there and it was a clean facility.

Stayed two nites , good location, great breakfast and nice staff.

Hotel is of great historical interest, and is fun. to explore

The Royal Victoria Hotel is a historic hotel with a great location in Pisa, Italy. While about 15 minutes walking from the famous tower, the location gives you a bit of space to see the rest of the charming city and is the on banks of the beautiful Arno river. The amenities are basic, but it is a great price and the hotel is beautiful - cosy and typical Italian breakfast as well.
