Great location for hunters, anglers, bikers, hikers, off roaders or those who just want a peaceful getaway. Access all the wonders along Highway 126 and stay here in Pine with privacy, open space, wildlife and security. The famous Zoka's Restaurant is only 200 yards down the road. Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers.

Great stay in a a beautiful cabin!

Host was fantastic! Met Me/Spouse and our pup at the cabin, introduced himself (and his pup!) and let me know a few things about the area (Bears oh my haha) and the amenities! Was a great stay, would 100% stay again. Make sure you utilize the tepee and light up corn hole set!! Such cool additions to the trip!

Peaceful retreat!

We were looking for a peaceful escape from the fireworks of the city and Jim & Cindy provided the perfect cabin for us. Our dog Zuki appreciated pretty much all of Jim's property and enjoyed a stress free week playing with Bluebear.

Amazing!

Base camp 126 is amazing. From the cabin to the teepee and all the cute touches of decor the place is great. It’s cozy, clean and has everything you need in the cabin. Hiking up the mountain in the back yard was fun too. The host was so helpful and kind. It’s a beautiful property and home. We’ll be back again for sure. I’d give it 11 stars if I could.

Great quiet spot with friendly host

I’m so glad I gave this place a try when we came to Colorado for a concert. The tipi was amazing, Jim was helpful and kind, I didn’t want to leave! The cabin was great, stocked with what we needed and had zero issues locating even at night.Thanks again Jim for the stay and hospitality! We will return some day :)

Pine Valley comport, cozy cabin

Communication was excellent with the owner. The area is beautiful! If you want fancy and a lot of amenities nearby this might not be for you. We only stayed one night—wedding in the area but had to get up Norrh of Denver to spend time with family. We plan to come back for a longer stay at Base Camp.

Great Basecamp

Jim and Cindys place is exactly what we were looking for this past weekend when visiting our son who lives nearby. Great property that is right up behind Zokas, which is a restaurant open on the weekends. (Get the Zoka burger) The place had everything we needed and was super quiet. The property is very eclectic with things to check out around every corner, especially the Teepee which is a cool place to hang out. Plenty of room inside with everything we needed to cook breakfast and spread out. Highly recommended, and we will definitely stay here again in the future.

If Only There Were More Hours In A Day

The Base Camp 126 was superb all around! Jim & Cindy have outdone themselves creating a comfortable, clean, relaxing, and enjoyable place as your home away from home. They were totally accepting and accomodating of all the little challenges and unexpected issues that always arise while you are traveling. The cabin is very cozy, well maintained and had all of the amenities we needed. The bathroom is modern and updated. The TeePee on the property is very cool! Waited till dark to hang out, have a drink and chat the night away. Highly recommend!

Comfy place!

We enjoyed our stay in this very clean cabin. The owner is super friendly and helpful. There's a great restaurant within walking distance of the cabin. We had breakfast there. We hiked in the general area and had easy access to other restaurants along 285. Super quiet at the cabin. Comfortable beds and soft sheets.

Fantastic getaway in the Colorado Mountains

Fantastic stay in the Colorado mountains! Jim and Cindy were wonderful hosts and the property listing is as described. We were in searching for a place within reasonable distance from Red Rocks, had easy access to hiking, and that would allow us to “escape”. This place delivered. We spent our days hiking (Jim offered wonderful suggestions) and nights reading in the on-site teepee and sitting by a fire. Sweet Bluebear (Jim and Cindy’s dog) greeted us every morning and provided us with a much needed “dog fix”. It was a wonderful visit and if we venture back to Colorado for another concert at Red Rocks, we would welcome the opportunity to stay here again.

Cozy Mountain Relaxation

Jim was a wonderful host! Everything was clean and as pictured. The outdoor space was great to relax in and my kids LOVED the tee-pee! Very comfortable and relaxing. An extra bonus was having Bluebear the friendly dog there, great biking and hiking nearby, and Zoka's restaurant for dinner.

Everything about this place was awesome. Highlights: the tiny details of the cabin, two fire pits, awesome teepee, location, starry nights, wildlife, quiet, and Jim. Jim is so kind, one of those people that just make you hoot to talk to and be around. Only complaint was that we weren’t there long enough. But that’s our mistake, be back again for longer.
