We recently had a corporate outing at the Sofitel La Reserva Cardales. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the grounds are beautiful and rooms are very spacious. First the rooms are huge, with a tub, big separate shower with a rain shower head. Bed was a kingsize bed and had all the amenities needed. When traveling overseas it is nice when the bedrooms have Type A plugs. The room had a large patio that you was beautiful to work from. The grounds were well kept and we had dinner one night at the resort. The food was very good and service was spot on. Business or just to relax this was a great place.
Outside 50km from Buenos Aires, beautiful hotel, rooms very spacious, very nice atmosphere, nice restaurant and delicious food. The staff was very nice and helpful. At night the lights in the main hall and at the restaurant transformed the ambiance, lovely, truly beautiful, nice lake, beautiful gardens.
Rooms are really wonderful and spacious, beds are very good too and the bathroom as well. But the food....oh my god. Bad quality and really slow service, in spite of the restaurant being practically empty. I spent here 2 days and the food went from really bad to bad. In the last lunch we ordered a hamburger. It was disgusting and the fries were like pre-cooked, from a package. Absolutely nothing to do with a 5 star hotel.
This is a nice and clean hotel, good for holidays or meetings. there is a spa with swimming pool and lakes outside; very pritty. Rooms on the 3rd floor with view to the lakes are super nice. All rooms have realy much space. I had a luxery room, which actually were two rooms ( one living room, one bedroom and a lage balcony). The bathroom was wow! Whirlpool, two shower options separated tiolet. I loved my room. In case you are not Spanish speeking it is not worth switching on TV. there are about 50 channels, but all in Spanish. Breakfast is nice ; kitchen overall more average. Staff is very caring and friendly. In case you come from the airport you should calculate for an 1,5 to 2 hour ride to the hotel. This is due to heavy traffic. When we were here we did not really realize we are in Argentina as all was so green. The only thing we got it somehow was through the cockies (decicious!) and the tango music already at breakfast. I would come here again.
This hotel is really amazing and great if you want to spend a few days away from the city. It offers a lot of attractions on site and nearby and it's also very recommendable if you're traveling with kids. Rooms are spacious and all hotel amenities are superb!!!
We spend a weekend at the hotel. What a great time!!!! Great spa ( definitely recommend the massage - what a pro!!!), great pools, lots of green space. You walk on the premises and barely see or hear the other guests. All birds, waterways with boats you can rent, and silence. On the other hand the rooms are super in- and the service is given with warmth and professionalism. Recommend it greatly!!!
I stayed during the week of April 17, 2017 and they charge me 21% on Taxas when Argentina government had a law where foreign doesn't have to pay Taxas on rooms. On my check in/out they didn't inform me about it, days later someone told me about it so I called hotel asking for my money back, they said they can refund me the money. Be aware on your rights as they probably won't tell you.
We had four rooms for a family getaway between Christmas and New Year. We hired a van service to take us; when we arrived at the main security gate the security guard seem very confused and did not let us in for 15 minutes. When we checked in there was no apology for the delay, the only explanation was that this was a secure, gated community. Not a good start. Service was hit of miss. Some of the front desk staff was great, others were rude. Wait staff at the restaurant was ok but not always accommodating. Sitting outside for breakfast seemed to be a big hassle for the wait staff even though the weather was beautiful and there were plenty of tables. The lobby is beautiful. All four rooms were similar and very nice; large, nicely decorated, lovely balcony with lounge furniture. The rooms had everything you would expect from a supposed 5 star property. The pools were nice but needed repair. (Cracked tiles around the edges and broken jets in the hot tub). Pool food and drinks service was very slow. Advertised facilities were unavailable or had limited availability. We tried to use the bowling alley and game rooms but were shooed away both nights. Kayaks were available for 45 minute rides, but only at certain times, reservations required etc etc. There was only one restaurant open when we were there so dinner options were limited. We took a taxi into the town of Maschwitz for dinner. Plenty of restaurant options in this small town but the taxi was silly expensive! If you don’t have a car you really feel trapped. There were a couple of corporate events going on while we were there and unfortunately the hotel catered to them and not to the rest of their guests. All in, not a great experience, pity.
Yep, a day getaway, relax and go to "the best SPA in Argentina"...at least that's what they said. The place cannot be better, the SPA could improve a little and the customer service should improve a lot!
Booked the hotel to stay during the weekend with my wife and my 1 year old child. After booking I needed to change the dates so I called again and asked to move the reservation a week later (which my was allowed by my fare). I was told (not very kindly) ok but you cannot make any further changes to your reservation. I thought ok, but this is weird since it's a cancellation free policy and I was calling in advance. A week later we arrived to the hotel, it was raining a lot and I was carrying my child, the luggage, the stroller and nobody was helping, a lady doing the check out had to ask the bell to help us since it was raining and I had a child. We proceed to the check in desk where we were asked to pay the full stay in advance (haven't heard of that before) but we did it and got to our room (which although they knew we were with a child was three buildings away). I must say that the hotel is very nice but sadly in a hotel of such category where you are paying above average for a night details matters. The room is spacious with a very big WC. But that's about it. The room needed maintenance, the door didn't close properly and in both main and joining room doors, it seemed that someone tried to break into since the wood was all apart about the height of the lock. The curtains had some minor holes and the balcony was nice but the wooden rail wasn't painted in a while and the wall had a history of crushed insects (or at least that what it seem). The indoor pool is way too small for the size of the hotel and it was totally full when we arrived. But what it's more important is that the floor they've chosen for that area is extremely slippery, in about twenty minutes we saw four people falling because of this! This is not safety at all, specially for kids (which by the way are only allowed until 18hs). Another downside is that when you get to the area you can smell the bleach and all the products that they put in the pool, and you can see it in the water that is not crystal clear. The playroom with three bowling lanes is nice but we couldn't use it since it was full. Kid area is very good, complete and the staff is always there and pay lot of attention to the kids. That's really good. The only downside is that some games were really old, and broken as well as some parts need a deep maintenance. Also from one day to another things were not properly cleaned (in my opinion). We never got our room cleaned so I cannot talk about housekeeping, or yes and say I cannot stand a hotel of this category not doing minimum cleaning. We had to use the same wet towels from the previous day. Breakfast is ok, food looks tastier from what it actually is. Try to gram some Brie chews but it was stuck to the plate, which suspiciously looked the same as the one offered in the dinner the previous day. And the same goes for the dinner and lunch; it's completely overrated, it looks nice but actually it has no taste (I ordered meet medium rare and it was completely cooked). You have only one restaurant open and another one only by reservation that opens fridays and saturdays (no kids allowed). Nowhere else to go nearby. Staff is very nice and polite. And yes the hotel is nice with the lagoon, the pool and everything. But that's it, you don't have anything in the surrounding (it's about 50km from BA downtown), and as I said in this type of hotels details matters and I don't think this hotel is up to it. To sum up is a very nice, trendy hotel but I'm not sure it worth its price. I'd probably won't stay again.
