Stay was okay but could have been better
First off, the owner lives 5 hours away and even though our emails and messages were answered promptly, they were only answered "when" the owner read them. She does have an associate who lives in the home but we never met or saw her.
There is no cable and that was a big disappointment for us.
The sheets would not stay on the bed.
We were asked not to walk on the rug which we found very odd so we rolled it up and pushed it to the side.
The shower is more rounded and even though there is a small seat in the shower, your body wash, shampoo, etc will not stay there because they slide off. There is a small area to the right of the shower for small items but again, they will not stay there comfortably either. It would have been nice to have had a shower caddy for this reason alone.
The lighting in the room is very bad. There were two bedside lamps and one overhead light. The overhead light had darker globes making the light very harsh. We are both Bible readers and enjoy reading our "Bibles" (not using our electronic devices) as well as other reading material and the darkness of the room made that very difficult. It was even hard to see the color of our socks due to the bad lighting.
There was only one chair in the room and one bar height stool.
We were told the laundry room is a shared facility. We naturally assumed it was for the "guests" not for the associate who also lives there.
The thermostat is located in the hallway and the owner told us how to change it but we could never get it to work right. She also said, we could contact her or her associate and it could be adjusted that way. We tried to be respectful and not have to contact either one for the following reasons. One, the owner lives 5 hours away and IF we needed the heat on at 7:30am, that would mean 2:30am for her. Since we did not know the associates schedule, we did not contact her either. Three or four nights, we had to sleep with the fan on because it was so stuffy in the room.
The owner was very kind to us by giving us a free night due to the shower head leaking and we appreciated that.
