Villa Arpicella se encuentra a pocos kilómetros de los pueblos históricos y artísticos de Val D'Orcia, en el sur de la Toscana, y también a tiro de piedra están los centros de producción de los mejores vinos toscanos Montepulciano y Montalcino.

UBICACIÓN
Arpicella es una hermosa villa independiente ubicada a solo 15 minutos a pie de Pienza y disfruta de la paz y la tranquilidad de un entorno rural único con espectaculares vistas panorámicas. El extenso y hermoso jardín de la villa está protegido y aislado sin otras propiedades a la vista.
Esta área de Val D'Orcia y Pienza en sí son famosas por su belleza natural excepcional y, como resultado, han sido diseñadas como SITIO DE PATRIMONIO MUNDIAL DE LA UNESCO.

ALOJAMIENTO
Como en siglos pasados, el alojamiento se encuentra únicamente en el piso superior, al que se accede por un tramo externo de escaleras de piedra con un porche en la parte superior. Desde aquí, ingresa directamente debajo del techo inclinado a una espaciosa sala de estar, que comprende un sofá, sillones y una mesa de café agrupados alrededor de la gran chimenea de leña.
La propiedad tiene calefacción central y su planta baja, que tradicionalmente se usaba para acomodar a los animales de granja, ahora alberga solo garajes y bodegas.
De plano abierto en una esquina hay una moderna cocina, totalmente equipada con cocina eléctrica; refrigerador; congelador separado; lavavajillas; lavadora; ollas y sartenes; vajilla y cubertería para 12 personas; y una mesa de 6 plazas.
Saliendo de esta sala de estar hay un pasillo que conduce a lo siguiente: un gran comedor con mesa de refectorio de madera de 8/10 plazas; una habitación doble; y una espaciosa habitación doble. Ubicado en el centro entre estos dos últimos, en el extremo más alejado del rellano, hay un gran baño compartido, alicatado en azul y gris estilo Delft, con accesorios modernos, que incluyen cabina de ducha de esquina y un espejo que se extiende a través de dos paredes.

Absolutely beautiful property. The views are stunning - it was a picture perfect view. We stayed in mid-March, so it was too cool to sit outside much. This would be an amazing property when a bit warmer. The outside space would be wonderful for meals. The house itself is adorable and very comfortable. Fabio is an excellent host. He does a great job explaining the property and was very quick to respond both before and after arrival. The location is a short drive to Pienza. We did not walk to town.

Amazing spot. Great host.

Fabulous stay. Views are incredible and the property is beautiful. Fabio was delightful, very accommodating, and had great communication with us. The property is close to town with a cool trail nearby for a walk in the countryside. Everything needed was provided including washer and dryer - which we used. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Tuscan Oasis

Far exceeded expectations!! I would rate this 10 stars if I could. Landscape is breathtaking. Location is a 5 min drive or 15 min walk to the town. The house is spacious with a rustic flare and a property that is picturesque - exactly what I was after. Check in process was easy and the gracious hospitality of the hosts where available if we needed them. Thank you for providing a perfect experience.

Tuscan Villa with Amazing Views

This property exceeded our expectations as far as views and accommodations. It is actually larger than what you see in the images. Fabio has made some beautiful upgrades in keeping with the historic villa. Fabio and Luciana were very accommodating and responsive to requests. They were very helpful in suggesting great restaurants. We would definitely return. Thank you Luciana and Fabio.

A beautiful, peaceful home away from home

Close your eyes and imagine the Tuscan countryside. What you’re seeing is Arpicella. The villa sits among distant farms and is surrounded by its own olive orchard. Living here feels like you are miles away from anything, yet you’re only a 20 minute walk up to Pienza, which you can only barely see from the villa, adding to the sense of isolation. You wake in the morning with the birds, the dogs, and the occasional rooster call. Some days you eat breakfast in, some you walk into town. Either way, it’s quiet and the views are stunning. Luciana and Fabio are the most wonderful hosts, rarely seen but there when you need them. We plan to stay here again (and again!). Highly recommended.

Heaven on earth

This property really is heaven on earth. Not only is the property a paradise, the house is perfect and the hosts are wonderful people. The house is spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is modern and clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the tv has Netflix. It is a short 7 minute drive into beautiful Pienza, or a 20 minute walk. The property is paradise! A sweeping view of the lovely Tuscan hills, Monte Amiata in the distance. Bring your binoculars, lots of wildlife to see. We really hope to return one day to this piece of Heaven on earth!

Perfection!

Arpicella is storybook perfect. It’s a beautiful, well-appointed farmhouse in a very private, peaceful setting. The views from every direction are gorgeous and more Tuscan than the Tuscany you see in the movies: olive trees, farmland, farmhouses . . . It was a bit of an uphill walk, but we enjoyed being able to walk into Pienza. When we could tear ourselves away from the property, we had short drives to wonderful wineries near Montalcino and Montepulciano. The owner, Luciana, and her son, Fabio, could not have been more helpful or hospitable. We will be back!

We wanted to stay forever

We have stayed in many unique VRBOs around the world and this one rated with the very best of those in a rural setting. The view is incredible and we never tired of it. The villa is clean and comfortable with great WiFi, and the walk up to Pienza is easy for those reasonably fit and good exercise...it meant we could eat more :) Best of all were Luciana and her husband, and Fabio, who were always helpful and quick to respond to anything we needed. It was our great pleasure to meet them, and I am sure we will be staying with them again in the future. Grazie mille!

Idyllic!

My husband and I loved our stay at Arpicella and I would have been happy to stay additional days. I personally feel the location and views are the best in the Val D’Orcia area. The hills and orchards look especially beautiful in the late afternoon/early evening light as you enjoy a glass of wine. The charming town of Pienza is a nice 15 minute walk from the house. Luciana and Fabio are lovely hosts, so friendly and eager to help. What a perfect spot to enjoy the Tuscan countryside!

Un petit coin de Paradis

Tout est dans le titre ! On hésiterait presque à recommander cet endroit pour pouvoir le garder pour soi ! Au bout d'un kilomètre de chemin de terre, perdue au milieu des oliviers, cette maison est un havre de paix et de nature, offrant une vue sublime. Splendid house in the middle of Tuscany

This house is jest wonderful. The breathtaking views from the house, big land and no neighbors in a visible space. However still walking distance to Pienza; less than half an hour to restaurants. Very convenient for visiting Tuscany: Montepulciano, Siena, Montalcino, Pitigliano, Arezzo, Bagno Vignoni… The host Luciana and her son Fabio were very helpful. My wife had an accident one night and Fabio drove with us to a nearby hospital and stayed with us there till 3 AM; we truly appreciated that. We highly recommend this house :-)

Traumhaft

Es ist ein großer traumhafter alter Bauernhof mit einer wunderschönen Wohnung. Das Grundstück ist sehr groß und wirkt wie ein kleiner Park in absoluter Ruhe. Der Blick vom Haus über die toskanische Landschaft auf den Monte Amiata ist traumhaft. Die Vermieterin Luciana Butteri ist einmalig freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es fehlte an nichts. Die gesamte Wohnung ist mit Insektengitter ausgestattet - wunderbar. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Luciana and Fabio were incredible hosts. They were extremely helpful and replied very quickly to our questions. The house and property were stunning and had everything we needed and more. It’s a quiet rural property with olive orchards, flowers, and incredible panoramic views. We were two couples and the house had plenty of room for us. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to the old town on a beautiful panoramic pathway. Coming back at night we used headlamps for the trails back below the town. Highly recommended. We had an incredible stay.
