We had a wonderful two-night stay and everything was perfect. Chris is an exceptional host who made us feel truly welcome. Lovely stay at A440

We had a really lovely stay at A440. We were staying with our 7 year old, he was on a Japanese futon which I thought was slightly hard but he slept like a log so it’s obviously perfectly suitable for a child. Our bed was extremely comfortable!! From reading reviews I was slightly worried about the road up to the hotel, but our hire car had no problem with it. The hotel is in a beautiful location, outstanding views, the pool was fabulous. We walked into Pienza most days and nights, it was a great walk about 15 mins, amazing views on the last part, very dark at night near the hotel so use your phone torch. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and nice. Highly recommend staying here!!

Fantastic Spot 10/10

Absolutely loved our stay at A440. Stunning views and the proximity to the Pienza made walking to town very convenient and given the limited dining options on site great for lunch and dinner. The included breakfast was great. Staff were helpful and communicated well ahead of our arrival. Note that checking in after 7pm requires planning so make sure to keep that in mind. The road up to the property is a little bumpy but totally manageable, other reviews made it seem like it would be a bigger issue than it really was. Overall the property is truly special with exceptional views and a lovely pool and gardens. Would recommend staying in the annex for added privacy and view of the valley.

Ligging op een mooie locatie dicht bij het centrum van Pienza. Slechte weg om de locatie te bereiken. Moderne accomodatie met mooi gemeenschappelijke leefruimte waar je naar toe moet voor goede WIFI-verbinding. Mooie kamers maar niet erg functioneel. Erg slechte WIFI-verbinding in de kamers. Ook de airco werkte niet naar behoren. 's Nachts stil maar vanaf 6u30 veel geluid bij in de ontbijtruimte.

Vi bodde fyra nätter och detta är utan tvekan den sämsta upplevelsen vi haft under våra många resor i Italien. Vi hade bokat för två vuxna och ett barn på 3 år samt informerat både Hotels.com och boendet direkt vid två tillfällen om att vi skulle vara tre personer. Trots detta påstod boendet vid ankomst att de inte fått informationen och försökte debitera extra för vårt barn, trots att deras egen information anger att barn upp till 3 år bor gratis. Först efter att vi visat bevis på vår kommunikation backade de. Det som gjorde upplevelsen riktigt dålig var bemötandet. Ansvarig person, Stella, var otrevlig, höjde rösten och visade ingen vilja att lösa situationen. Vi kände oss ovälkomna från första stund. Boendet marknadsförs med restaurang och bar, men detta är missvisande. Restaurangen serverar endast frukost och eventuell lunch måste förbokas dagen innan. Barservice finns endast när receptionen är bemannad. Vi valde boendet just för att slippa köra in till Pienza varje kväll. Rummet var mycket lyhört, ventilationen förde oväsen nattetid och vi väcktes varje morgon av ljud från frukostmatsalen ovanför. Handdukarna var slitna och fransiga, vi hade myror i och runt rummet och frukosten höll låg kvalitet med begränsat utbud. Vägen upp till boendet är i dåligt skick, de gemensamma utrymmena känns mörka och oinbjudande och gångvägen till Pienza saknar belysning. Läget är det enda positiva. I övrigt är boendet kraftigt överreklamerat, missvisande. Välj annat boende!

Uma espécie de chácara/Borgo no alto de uma bela colina com uma vista insana do Val D’Orsi! Lugar calmo, silencioso e ao mesmo tempo bem próximo do centrinho de Pienza, uma cidade histórica e lindíssima! Para chegar ao A440 tem um pequena estrada de terra super fácil de chegar, e a equipe orienta super bem! Na parte da noite não fica ngm do hotel por lá, mas nada que atrapalhe a estadia… café da manhã incrível!

Embora o quarto fosse um pouco pequeno, o hotel é um charme. Achamos a localização boa, bem perto de cidades como Montalcino e Montepulciano. Fora o centro Pienza que é bem pertinho e muito charmoso. Parenthèse reposante dans ce logement idéalement situé dans un écrin de verdure à quelques pas de Pienza. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, décorées avec goût et d’une propreté irréprochable, offrant confort et tout le nécessaire : literie très confortable et calme plat. Petit déjeuner correct, copieux et varié. Il est très agréable de passer des heures à se prélasser au soleil au bord de la piscine qui offre une vue sur la nature environnante. Nous avons passés un séjour de 2 nuits merveilleux et regrettons seulement de ne pas avoir pu y rester d’avantage !!
