Resort is all as i expected and more. We had a wonderful stay and would visit again and recommend to friends and families.

Santhiya on Koh Yao Yai was amazing! It is an amzingly beautiful location! Nothing can beat the views here!! Every single staff member I encounterd was wonderful! The cost for what we received was great!

This was our second stay at the Santhiya at Koh Yao Yai. We will return again, despite there being some issues, most having to do with communication, some with facilities, that marred the experience. The good: the location is stunning; there is fair to excellent food with a wide range of options; the massages we had were fantastic; staff is accommodating and friendly; plenty of things to do or ways to relax in the quiet. The not-so-good: electricity in the room went out three times (room key issue); luggage didn't arrive until an hour after we checked in; some confusion around food ordering; water quality in tub was impacted by rains--but this wasn't communicated. More on the not-so-good: 1. The key fob reader in our room was malfunctioning, which meant that we had three times when aircon and lights were out and we had to call for maintenance. They managed it quickly, but this was frustrating. 2. They take luggage to your room separately, and it seems like room assignments change between arrival and your final check-in. Unfortunately our luggage (with swimsuits etc) didn't arrive until one hour after we did. We had to call several times to figure out what had happened. 3. A few times food orders were inaccurate. This is not a big issue, but it is symptomatic of a challenge in communication. This is a resort with international staff and guests, most of whom speak two or more languages--so it's understandable. But I think it could be improved. We will still come back!

Single travel and felt comfortable , the resort was amazing .

I have been to many resorts but this one is very unique. It is on a beautiful island with mesmerizing views. Almost everything is carved out of wood. The staff is super helpful. The pools are great. Food is also very good for a resort. Overall, a trip to Thailand deserves few nights at this place. Must check out!!!

The room was stunning and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. They delivered us a free anniversary cake. The breakfast was delicious and they included a fun New Years celebration. Definitely above our usual price range but a stunning place to stay a couple nights for New Years and our anniversary. Minor complaint: In their welcome packet they had a section about Thai cultural taboos that was kinda sexist like saying women can’t be affectionate with men in public and have to wear modest clothing. I’m sure they didn’t mean that those rules apply at their resort but I wish they would specify that because I found myself feeling uncomfortable being affectionate with my partner. We were there for our anniversary and many people go for their honeymoon so I think they should create an environment where people can feel comfortable expressing affection.

The Hotel was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. We really loved all the special attention to detail and they make superb drinks! The beach wasn't as clean as I thought it would have been. We loved walking to the little tow near by and found a great little place to eat called " Ody's" its about 100km from the beach and turn right off the down a littlrde alleymain. The host "Pete" is awesome and his mother is a doll. The food is also excellent!

The property in itself is beautifying and most rooms itself have ocean views. Rates are unbelievably excellent. However you can see why rates are decreased. They tack on a service charge to everything- an amount that goes to the hotel for profit and not to the staff as gratuity which is normally expected. Communicating with staff was difficult and they are not properly trained to 5 star standards (anticipating hotel guest needs). However, they do work hard and I am more forgiving because of the show of effort.

Beautiful resort, we had a very pleasant time. Recommend the hotel to anyone who is interested in having a lovely vacation in Thailand.

This resort is beautiful. Perfect place if you want to get away from the craziness of your everyday life. The views are amazing, along with the food and activities. The only thing this place could improve on is the pricing. The rooms are definitely worth the money. However, the drinks, food and activities were a bit steep. Also the only way on or off island is to pay a $35.00 transfer fee, per person, each way. For example my wife and I had to pay $150 usd for transfer fees alone. I feel the hotel should offer free shuttle service for hotel guest. Other thanthat and the $8.00 drinks. This resort is beautiful and oneof a kind. We definitely don't regret staying here.

- the food is not great (expensive @ the hotel and in room service) - free breakfast is traditional and satisfactory! Pancakes, salads, pastries with creams, eggs( terrible) , fresh juices available (some are concentrates) The fish was not fresh! Only the sashimi nigiri was fresh! The Tom Yum spicy soup was divine! -this hotel is not westernized at all! If you're expecting it to be then don't come here! The majority of the hotel guests were complaining about service, presentation and quality. - if you don't speak enough English then don't come. Barely half of the hotel spoke a word of English. It was very difficult communicating with the staff. When we went to Bali everyone spoke English perfectly and were very engaging! Staff could care less about your stay and experience. - the hotel staff doesn't anticipate or proactively take care and provide good service. It simply needs management!!!!! - the BEACH massages are the best deal and wonderful! Staff is kind, attentive and always willing to give you a relaxing traditional Thai massage. Massages were cheap (USD $25 for 1hour massage). Hard to beat that price.... - this hotel is great for couples! Don't bring your kids. You can go to the other islands ($300 USD ) but activities are limited. Their are jelly fish in the water and you can't swim in the beach. You can but trust me you'll get stung. Multiple people did on our trip and got stung - the views are stunning! Breathtaking views and very relaxing sunsets.

We came from Bangkok for a getaway weekend. The hotel's location is definitely beautiful. The island is amazing and the views from the rooms are too. The details in the architecture is stunning and overall in presentation this hotel hits the spot. The two pools are gorgeous and wonderful to spend the days in. Unfortunately, their customer service, relations and management is a weak spot. It seems that a lot of the staff is still in training and the check-in and check-out procedure is not as welcoming as would be expected of a 5* resort. Passports and credit cards were taken with no communication or information and drinks and towels were given way later, which felt a little crass. Check-out was similar; we were to take the shuttle to the airport but after the bill was paid, no one communicated to us where to go. There is little leadership amongst the staff and felt like it was the blind leading the blind. They all seemed to have gotten an idea of what good hospitality should look like, but rarely executed it. Also it was concerning that there was such a high volume of paper pamphlets of different discounts and offers in the resort, which is not very eco-friendly. Food was average, lacked freshness and was overpriced, with the exception of the Titan, as for some reason that was the only place that had reasonable prices and better food. Overall we had a pleasant weekend away from the city, but I cannot imagine this resort as a singular destination for tourists.

There is no other place like Santhiya! Truly the most magical and stunning hotel in all of Phuket. Don't worry about getting to the island of Koh Yao Yai - santhiya takes care of you ever step of the way. Everyone there is patient kind and wants you to experience the extraordinary island as you do. We did phi phi islands trip which was breathtaking! Played with monkeys and snorkled the most beautiful islands I've ever seen. Highly recommend taking out a moped and exploring the island as well!

The hotel itself is lovely, and the views are terrific. The spa is amazing! Great treatments and beautiful, luxurious facilities. Communication with the staff is challenging, and the service is spotty. It took an hour to check in, and twice we had to repeatedly ask for parts of our meals that didn't come with the rest of the order. On the other hand, everyone is really friendly and cheerful.

The hotel wont let me cancel my trip even i was sick. They only allow me to postpone my trip till October which is a bummer because i don't plan on returning to Asia till next year. Strict policy compared to other hotel.

This hotel is like from fairytale. Amazing interior and exterior with extraordinary design, but... service is (only) 4-star, only "ok" breakfast and price is like for 5-star luxury hotel. There is no space near beach (first row is always occupied) . Koh yao yai is non-turistic island. Very authenthic. But if you looking for entertainments this hotel and particulary this island is not for you - go to Phuket!

I booked my trip with a relaxing getaway in mind. This hotel was perfect for such a trip! The staff was wonderful, access to the pool and the beach was easy. Yes, for Thailand, it was a bit pricey, but for a resort of this quality, it was an outstanding value! My only complaint would be the ease/cost of getting on and off the island. I tried to book the Phi Phi Islands tour three times only to have it cancelled for too few people interested. There is very little available information online about all the ferry/speedboat options. The hotel speedboat option is about $30 US + another $30 for transport from the Ao Po Grand Marina to pretty much anywhere on Phuket Island. If you go to the right pier on Ko Yao Yai, you could get right into old town Phuket on a ferry for under $10. The resort is beautiful and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful vacation!

Our stay at Santhiya was incredible. Amazing views, truly felt like heaven on earth. The staff was extremely friendly and provided great care.
