This hotel has seen it’s best. We chose this for our last night after seeing pool pics - mistake!! Did not want to swim in the pool, water was rather green and dirty. Breakfast, not worth going. + over all service was good, though hotel wasn’t.
Went to the roof restaurant with my husband as they advertised Peking duck. We were shown to a table given them menu which is extensive. The waitress then stood and tapped her feet waiting for us to order. We ordered the duck, it was the reason we were there. The pancakes came dry and stuck together and the duck was skin draped over rice crackers. Awful. The ambiance was dreadful.... old fashioned and tired. The musician needed lessons.... how out of tune can one man be with a Casio keyboard! Just don’t bother!! Worst meal we have had in three weeks eating out every meal.
The hotel building and surrounding were old including the abandoned plaza next door but the room (room 1011) on level 10 were renovated and had a fresh look. The Chinese restaurant upstairs were quiet and dark and dusty. Looked a bit like something out of scary movie scene but the Chinese food and services were delightful. But I had to say that I have never heard such an odd request when I was about to park my car, reversing into a parking space on the side of the hotel, the security guard stopped me and told me I had to park facing in ONLY. He said it's the hotel policy, which I thought was odd. Other than that, comfortable bed, clean room, good in room amenity such as, notepad, kettle and hairdryer.
Refurbished rooms with a modern effect. Nice rooms My room was small with a large bathroom. Good view of downtown Phuket city. Ninth floor still had construction noise. Good location with many restaurants and shops close by. Ask for a room on the backside of the hotel where it is more quiet. There will be a lot of motorcycle noise at night. Some kind of sewer smell in the lobby. Pool is beautiful but needs to be updated.
Quick business meeting and lunch at this venue. Disorganised but the chinese lunch was good. The meeting room is quite small but good for about 10 people. Staff were not that well organised. Did not stay overnight so cannot comment on the rooms.
We booked in here for two nights. We thought it suited all our needs for two nights...firstly our room had jackhammers working above it so we asked to be moved to a quieter room. The next room was also 'renovated' as we weren't given the wifi number I tried to call reception for the number but the phone didn't work, went to reception on our way out and they said they would come fix it on our return....reminded them on our return and ended up with workmen in our room for the next hour fixing the phone and the TV that did not work...what a joke the people who work here are rude and not at all professional. The rooms are OK but not for the price...no information in the rooms on room service or any other amenities. The pool area needs some urgent attention, you can't get to the pool without being scratched by the overgrown bushes and you are expected to use your bath towel for a pool towel. If this hotel had a decent manager who knew how to cater for tourists as well as local guests if would be lovely. Telling visitors the jackhammers finish at 5pm (so suck it up) is very unprofessional, we should never had been out into the first room in the beginning, obviously they do not care about their customers. Would never recommend this place to anyone. It is has terrible service, some of the worst I have seen in all my travels?
I spent one night here and had an enjoyable stay. The front desk are helpful and speak English. The room was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. The room had a good internet connection, refrigerator, clan bathroom, comfortable bed and a/c. The pool was great and it has a flowing waterfall. The location is excellent if you are traveling to the islands. The complimentary breakfast was average though. I would recommend this hotel.
This is old hotel , the surroundings is very quiet in the night, like a ghost town you saw in the movie. lucky we just stay for 1 nite, because the whole hotel seems like not many guest.. quite scary. But the rooms are renovated for certain level. We want to the massage place at level 3 and they even provide "special service" I will not revisit again and not recommended.
It's an old hotel locagted right in Phuket city center. The building is more than 30 years old with not much renovation. The room carpet can be smelly if you turn the AC down. The only good thing about this place is the location. It's right in the city center so, wasy to find whatever you need.
got a junior suite - pictures on website are very far from what you get. Friendly staff indeed but that cares more if you want a young girl for massage than the cleanliness of the bathroom... breakfast is a disaster. But you get what you paid for - 80 euros a night in the middle of phuket town - far from any activity. The best : 9th floor coridor that has a feeling of The shinning... Dannnnyyy...
