Stayed here for a week and found everything to be almost perfect. Pleasant staff, nicely kept spacious rooms, very nice and large main pool as well as private pools next to the villas. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Showers were huge. The sinks, shower, and toilet are all in separate rooms.Nest time we go back, we will definitely stay here again. I can't say much about the food as we only ate breakfast there but it was very good. There was a little bit of noise from nearby construction during the day but it stops at dinner and were we gone most of the day anyway.
We had a great experience at Niramaya. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. We visited many other places around the island but found that coming back was a joy. Our plunge pool was cool and private and the larger pool that is shared by all the villas was often empty. The breakfasts were delicious and we had several other meals at the restaurant and found the food was consistent, with lots of options for our kids. I'd highly recommend this place for families.
I have mixed feelings, the hotel is actually really wonderful, but the "beach" is awful. It is completely rocks and stinks at low tide. In fact, there was s really not a good beach on the island. They are all brown sand and mudflats at midd to low tide. The hotel itself is very accommodating and lovely. We had a bungalow with a private pool which was fantastic. The "private" pool is actually open to the grounds so we asked for privacy which was a tarp that they strung up. All in all, if you are determined to go to this island for some reason, I totally recommend this hotel, but if it were me, I would go to a different island.
Thank you to the kitchen and restaurant team at Niramaya. We were stuck for a place to watch Super Bowl 52 - no sports bars in KYN paradise. Then we spotted snooker on Niaramaya Restaurant TV walking home from the pub. Asked the guys if they had channel 666 - they checked and they had. Asked them if they could put it on at 6.30am for us so we could watch the Eagles beat the Patriots even though we were non resident. They confirmed they would. True to their word, the game was on when we called in the next day with sound and unlimited coffee refills. I can confirm that the breakfast is very good quality ... and best enjoyed over a 3 hour period. And the Villas from my table in the dining room looked amazing during all those Super Bowl ad breaks. Huge team looking after cleaning and grounds maintenance. Fantastic views of islands in paradise - same as ours in the hotel next door. Excellent customer service. We’ll stay with you in the future. Thanks again.
I love this place. I really love this place. The villas were amazing. Clean, comfortable, great decor and your own plunge pool which was handy after a hot day on a long tail boat and the staff even bought us over a beer while we were cooling down. The staff were lovely, really lovely If you are thinking of going to Koh Yao Noi stay here. Only downside was the wifi wasn't good but theres a great bar down the road where you can have a lost afternoon/evening and use their internet. Do it. We will certainly be back
After a flight from London to Phuket, then a ferry across to Ko Yao Noi, it was wonderful to arrive at this beautiful resort staffed by lovely, happy people. Great villas with own pool, plus a communal pool, and bars and restaurants nearby. Only stayed for 3 nights, but eager to return. Cannot recommend highly enough. Only downside was poor internet connection, but it's not the end of the world when you're here.
Straff is friendly and do everything they can to make your stay a perfect one. We were met with smiles and helpfulness everyday from everybody at the resort. Khoi Yao Noi and Niramaya offers peace and harmony and good experiences for both children and adults.
We spent 4 nights with our three young children in one of the two bedroom villas. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed in this beautiful setting with our own private pool. Breakfast was very good and we had a number of great dinners at the intimate resort restaurant. Also some other good restaurants and a convenience store within close proximity. Villa was very clean and serviced twice daily. Koh Yao Noi is very untouristy and for us, a much better alternative to some of the more popular, touristy islands. Overall an excellent experience and we were sorry to leave.
We spent almost three weeks in Thailand, and we lived at four different resorts. The villa at Niramaya was by far the best we lived in. But Niramaya was still quite disappointing. We spent five days at Niramaya and we only had dinner in the restaurant once. The spaghetti bolognese was among the worst i've ever had as is was absolutely tasteless. The lights in the private pool was falling out and could cause a dangerous situation. The cleaning of the villa was very bad. There were spiderwebs in the bathroom and it had been there for at least a month. It seems like Niramaya has been falling apart for the last six year. The homepage comfirms this as they still have an offer that expired the 30th april 2011.
I spent 4 days at Niramaya with my teenage children. The 2 bedroom family villa is beautiful. The staff were attentive and the attention to detail was lovely - coming in at 5pm to light the tealight candle oil burner. We hired scooters from them as well and had a ball touring the island and finding undiscovered beaches. Only 1 suggestion please hotels in Asia let me fill up our water bottles from large 20 litre bulk bottles so as to reduce the plastic water bottle consumption - it stresses me out! I am happy to pay for it or add it in to my room charge but one little idea could revolutionalise waste. It was done at the little property across the road Subai Corner and we had zero plastic rubbish as a result.
