We spent the weekend in Phuket before flying off to Koh Samui and we have stayed in this beautiful resort hotel. The location is great and the staff are very good and attentive. Our room was very clean and spacious enough. We have dined in their Thai Restaurant “Pad Thai” and we had the best meal ever. We will definitely come back and stay longer. Planning already :-)

A very nice hotel on a great location near Surin beach. We spent 2 nights here when we arrived in Phuket and we liked it a lot. We were 8 persons in 2 Family suites. Enough space for everyone. Good breakfast and the staff was friendly.

The website sets high expectations but the reality delivers much less. Overall the place looks tired and uninspiring. My twin room was small and lacked a reasonable level of storage. I shared with a friend and bathroom privacy was only maintained through a sheer shower curtain. I guess for the price I shouldn’t expect more.

Just come back from a lovely holiday in Phuket. The staff in the hotel were always very friendly and polite. English was better with some than others. Unfortunately although very friendly, they did not always act on the issues that needed resolving. Eventually we spoke to the Manager who was very helpful and friendly. The externally resort itself is very stylish and looks beautiful and is very well maintained. the lighting at night is magical. The pool bar is open from approx 12 til 7 pm It is a shame more is not made of it in the evening, as it is beautiful out there. We stayed at the Surin Terrace Room. We always try to book a room somewhere with either a swim up pool or a small private pool to dip in. In the pictures the room looks amazing, but in reality, it is now looking a little tired and needs a new lick of paint. Bottles of water were put in the room every day and we were offered free fresh fruit could be ordered every day. They also came around one day with biscuits and another sweets. I am not sure if this was just because it was Christmas and New Year. These were lovely touches. The Terrrace itself is approx 50% covered by the above balcony, and surrounded by walls, so feels quite enclosed when you are out there. It gets very little sun because of the balcony above and there is ver little room on it apart from the 2 sun beds. You feel you have to be very careful not to fall in as you navigate around the beds. The water is freezing cold. We had issues with is not ever being cleaned and also the flies and algae. It was then given a bit of a clean, but we did not go into it at all . The breakfast had a good choice. There was a nice selection on offer that was cooked freshly and brought to the table. It gets very busy at certain times and the way that it is laid out with tables so near to the buffet, makes it feel quite chaotic at times. It is just a few minutes walk to the beach The hotel has a nice touch of a loan in your room of a beach bag, mat and sand sweeper. Surin is a beautiful beach, there are lots of stalls selling snacks and drinks, but if you went a few years ago and remember all the bars and restaurants to eat at the beach, they are no longer there. Because of this if you want to eat outside the options are restaurants or the main roads or in hotel ground. If you want beach side eating you need to go to Bang Tao or Kamala. Both 5 mins in a taxi / Tuk Tuk and 300 Baht. There are some expensive clothes shops within walking distance, lots of massage places , chemists, a few souvenir type shops and lots of restaurants.

I almost gave the Manathai two stars, but ultimately I don’t think it’s fair to punish them for our decision to be cheap. For how much we paid, in all fairness, it is a decent hotel. However, there are a couple things that could definitely be improved. 1) The room was a little small and shabby. This would have been fine if it included a normal bathroom. However, the bathroom was only separated from the rest of the room by a shower curtain, and the shower itself was only separated from the rest of the bathroom by a shower curtain. Every time we took a shower, the whole bathroom got flooded. As a result, the whole thing was moldy and yellowing. We also saw a cockroach in the room, which was an unwelcome addition. 2) Our room included free breakfast, which was nice, but breakfast was always chaotic. The staff seemed disorganized and it was very difficult to even flag people down to place an order. 3) When we checked out of the hotel at 8:00 am, we asked the front desk to call us a taxi to the airport, thinking this was a pretty standard request. Instead, she said she couldn’t call us a cab because the people who man the taxi desk in the lobby don’t get in until 9:00. So we had to walk down the street with all our luggage to a local taxi stand and get one there. One would think the front desk of a hotel would be able to call a car 24/7. In the States this place is the equivalent of a Holiday Inn Express: great is you’re looking for a budget place to spend the night and that’s it, but not the five star experience a lot of these reviews have painted it out to be.

Stayed at Sabai Resort by Manathai. Was pleasantly surprised, not expecting a nice n cozy hotel. Even though the room did not have windows, it was spacious and clean for the price we paid. The check in staff was very friendly and attentive. Got our room for us way before our check in time of 2 pm..Only drawback I would say is that the water got clogged up every time we had our shower

Literally across the street from the beach and is surrounded by restaurants. The hotel offers guests a mesh bag, beach mat and towels during your stay. We had some travel problems and had to book a last minute room with the hotel. They were able to accommodate us last minute, which I really appreciated. We were greeted with a beverage and fruit. The buffet breakfast was pretty good. You have to order the hot food from a server. The menu is on the table. They also had a lot of fresh fruits, cheese, cold cuts, salads, cereal and pastries. The menu never changed during our stay though, so I found myself eating the same thing every day.

Only spent one night here after an 8 day stay at Manathai Khaolak but would go again for sure. Much to love about this place and the Room was fantastic. Staff polite and helpful. The pools are good and whilst I was there the poolside bar was a nice spot to enjoy a drink.

Wonderful staff, Sueb at reception the best. Nothing too much trouble for him. Food excellent and clean beach over the road. Will be back as holidays go, this was one of the best l have had in Thailand.

Having visited Manathai second year in a row, I am extremely happy with the attention to detail and also the faculties on site, very close to the beach and staff that really go the extra mile to ensure maximum satisfaction, a special shoutout to Fang for providing us with 5* service.
