Not a bad hotel. Nice pool and pool bar. Rooms are big. Breakfast is standard Thai buffet style with not much variation day to day. WIFI seemed fine, I was able to make video calls back home without any problems. The hotel is pretty well located. Otop markets next door,, short walk to beach, lots of restaurants nearby and Bangla Rd about 15min walk away. My biggest complaint is with the fitness center. None of the equipment worked, all the treadmills were broken, all the elliptical trainers were broken and all the exercise bikes were broken. All new equipment is needed. Overall the hotel is ok. If you're staying in Patong then you probably don't need to spend much time at the hotel. So for somewhere to sleep, eat breakfast and have a shower, it does it's job pretty well. Like anything, you get what you pay for. I would stay again at the right price.
I stayed at this hotel earlier last year and it was brilliant. We stayed with family there in January of this year and I am beyond disappointed. To start with, the room I booked LAST APRIL was not the room I got. We were told it was because we checked in at night and it was on a first in best dressed system. We had to stay in this room for 2 days before they moved us, and we couldn't even leave our bags in the room until it was ready, we had to completely pack up and leave our bags in the foyer until 2 pm to move. Luckily our family took our bags as we had a tour that day. We also had a bed and breakfast rate, however on checkout we were charged for a breakfast - no one seemed to have the authority or could care as to how to fix it. We had no choice but to pay. Lucky it was cheap (I don't recommend the breakfast there). I have since emailed the hotel regarding this and still no response. Smelly rooms, broken pool tiles, doors not closing properly, very little english. The list never ends. The one good thing was the pleasantness of the lady cleaning our room. She remembered us from our previous visit and was happy to see us and came over to say hello. Its a shame we wont see her again.
I had previously stayed at this location last year and was pleased with the service. I returned again this year - what a disappointment. I traveled with family and we had booked a couple of rooms with problems with them all. Due to pretty most all of the staff not speaking any language apart from Thai, having these problems rectified was difficult. Definately NOT on my return to list - very disappointed.
I have stayed here few times and I liked it. The hotel is around 13 min walk from famous Bangla road, 5 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants are just few steps away and there is hard rock caffe 200 m away. The hotel is getting a bit old and it requires renovation. The rooms are very spacious but can be a bit noisy due to traffic and night clubs so you better ask for a quiet room. The pool is nice and clean and there are many sun beds around, there is also a pool bar. It is good for a few days stay.
This is undoubtedly the worst hotel I've ever been to over the last 15 years. I don't even know where to start... First of all, you only get one key, it doesn't matter how many persons you are in one room.. When we booked the hotel we did choose two adults and one kid, when we arrived they said we had to pay extra for the kids bed / blankets etc.. It said nothing about this when we booked the hotel. When we booked we also mentioned that we wanted a room with balcony as this is a criteria for us when we choose hotel, "yeah no problem"... Yeah right, when we got to the room we had no balcony. We went straight to the reception and said we had booked one with balcony, and we wanted one with that... They said that it would be available in 3 days, we booked that and got a receipt for it, when we came back in 2 days and asked when it was ready for our arrival the next day, they said that they had no room booked/available for us, even tho we showed them the receipt. Finally after 30mins of arguing they finally had a room available for us the next day. Same there tho, extra bed for the kid were 500 baht, so we had to pay 1500 baht extra each day for our entire stay. Yeah I know the wifi at hotels aren't the best, but this is a new level of bad quality network. The network isn't that important on vacations, but you should at least be able to use it on the hotel. No, not here. Want to send a simple message? Hah, try chatting with someone when it takes 5-10 minutes to send/receive a simple text-message. And lets talk about the language, I know the thai's don't know English that well, but at a hotel you should atleast know a little. The only things they understood were when I said something and pointed to a picture on the menu that's almost it. They knew some words like "ahhh whyfive" when I asked for the Wifi-password.. The roomservice were terrible aswell, after 20min waiting they finally knocked on the door, but wait... Where's everything we ordered? Well not here, We got 2 of the 5 items we asked of. And the two we got weren't even right.. I called the roomservice again but after like 10sec she just hung up because she didn't understand. Maybe shuldn't have a non English speaker answer the phone from the start... The cleaning of the room was also really bad, they didn't change any of the glass/cutlery, they just washed them really quickly with water and put em back..
Where can I start about how terrible this hotel is. This goes as a warning to anyone thinking about booking a stay here at this hotel. I still cannot comprehend how this hotel is a 4 star hotel. I have stayed at many hotels all around Asia and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff - On arrival we were treated poorly, the staff at the front desk did not make us feel welcome not did not take us for a tour around the hotel. They simply gave us a room key and let us know what water was free to drink and what cost us money. The staff seem uninterested in helping us and constantly found ways to push problems aside. One of the managers had the audacity to tell us that he had never spoke to us before when we clearly had multiple conversations with him. His excuse was you “you probably spoke to someone else that looks like me”. When we checked out we were coldly given and invoice without any goodbye or a question about how our stay was. Rooms - The rooms were average, we had a disgusting sewerage smell that was coming out of our bathroom despite constantly alerting staff, they did nothing about it . The smell made us feel sick. The water in the showers would change temperature at any random time making it impossible to enjoy a shower. We couldn’t even bring a foreign friend into the room for 10 minutes without having to pay 500 baht. Breakfast - poor selection of dishes and even the food that was available tasted average at best. Every morning we were greeted by a grumpy person at the front asking us what our room number was. The only positive this hotel has to offer is its location next to Bangla rd as well an half decent swimming pool. Overall I would give this hotel 0 stars and if you are looking to stay in Phuket, please look elsewhere. I am not writing this review to out of anger, but simply to warn other travelers. This hotel needs to take a hard looks at its management team and find people that actually want to help and welcome travelers staying at this hotel.
This place is in a fantastic location, only minutes to beach and 10mins to Bangla road. The breakfast was good, but other food was just ok. Spacious room with a view, but flickering light and old smelly pool towels. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, but service around the pool was poor.
This hotel has a fantastic vibe. Great pool bar, amazing cheap food and is in an awesome location opposite hard rock cafe , next to Otop markets. My biggest problem with this place was that its split in 2. The new part and the old part, unfortunately we got the old part and they wouldnt move us even if I paid more. They couldnt find our booking when we got there and were given 2 single beds instead of a queen (we were moved to a queen 3 days into our stay). They dont have real mattresses in the old part of the hotel they are foam but so hard it is like you are sleeping on the floor. We had a mattress topper put on but it didnt help much unfortunately. Our friend stayed here too but got the new part and his room and bed were fantastic. I would stay here again but would only stay in the newer part as by the end of the trip my back was really really sore. Fantastic band play at night and restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff were awesome. Big shoutout to the restaurant manager who got us an extended checkout to 2pm.
Hotel is just opposite to Hard Rock café, back side of hotel has splendid view of the hills and bars on the back street especially at night. Meant for those who love to party as you will keep on hearing the musical vibes on the back side of the hotel rooms. Pros: •Just a 10 minute walk from Bangla street & Patong beach. •Perfect place for nightlife. •Rooms & washrooms are well maintained and clean. •Courteous & helpful staff with all smiles around. •Swimming pool was lively with nice background music, sunken bar. •Breakfast buffet had huge variety. •Facilities like live music, bar ,travel desk, massage services, scooty on hire were fantastic. Cons: •Not meant for people loving peace.
If I hadn't already decided not to return to this hotel due to check-in and room, the check-out experience confirmed it. We have just finished a 7 night stay in this hotel and initial views were that check-in was very slow and they didn't seem to have a room ready for us despite having booked this in March! We booked a deluxe room as it promised a location away from the main road that the hotel sits on. On arrival the room smelled old and musty as though it hadn't been aired or used for some time. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and definitely required a new mattress - the housekeeping staff did their best to remedy this by putting several duvets on top of the mattress (after having twice spoke to reception staff about it), but was never going to be a substitute for a new mattress. There was also significant noise throughout the night from street and staff moving things around on trolleys. The musty smell improved slightly with use of the room and staff cleaning it. The room is old fashioned which isn't an issue but in need of some updating. Checkout! Tried to charge us for a bottle of whisky from mini bar that had never been present in mini bar on arrival or throughout our stay. Housekeeping claimed it had been there and I spent an hour discussing this with reception staff and the reception manager, who claimed housekeeping staff would have noticed if it hadn't been (yeah same way they noticed they didn't leave correct number of towels or water everyday). Nor could they show evidence of a checklist used by housekeeping staff to show all items in minibar were checked off - all they had was sheet with 'no' written on it, as in no minibar used, conveniently right through our stay until our last night and this changed to 'yes'. I refused to pay for the whisky and explained to the manager this was on principle not the money, as it was only 160baht. He eventually accepted I wouldn't pay, after I asked to speak to the hotel manager several times (but wasn't allowed to - interesting!) And asked that I write on the receipt I wouldn't pay. I did this but also wrote a full explanation for non-payment. If you do decide to stay at this hotel, book a higher rated room in rear building to avoid noise. Check with hotel reception on arrival exactly what should be in mini bar and check it every day of your stay to ensure no missing items as housekeeping staff appear incapable of this. Also report every item missing from room,such as towels, water on a daily basis to reception. They got the 2 stars because they do have a very nice pool area, spa facilities and very good porter staff. I've visited Thailand many times and never had the issues I've experienced here with any other hotel and will return to Thailand again, just not to this hotel.
