Stayed here for 3 nights for the last part of our trip to Thailand in a pool access room which I highly recommend, the rooms are a reasonable size and extremely clean, well maintained, air conditioned and has everything you need. We had breakfast included with our stay which is very basic and simple. This hotel has the regular room service, swim up bar and cocktail hr in the arvo/evening, daily housekeeping etc. A laundry service is available just outside the hotel for the usual 50baht kg. Family marts, massage and pedicure/manicures parlours and market stalls for some shopping are all located within 100 metres of hotel. The hotel has many storeys with rooms having balcony, but for the cheap price to stay here I would always choose the pool access room option.
hotel its self was alright , what you expect in patong rooms, smelt musty, some mold around the shower, rooms outdated, bathtub stained, 2 towels and a floor mat, plug in the sink didn't work, toilet seat broken, stayed in a deluxe room 3304, plenty of room with a balcony with pool views, breakfast was ok if you could stomach rice that early, no bacon, eggs was cold, TIP: start with your toast and work your self up, staff, the young ones was pleasant check in and check out was fast, you get what you pay for ! massage and spa girls was good , live entertainment need to change the songs , pool bar needs more stock, not acceptable at happy hour having a list of cocktails and not having the ingreadence or the buckets to over half of the list. you have most places within walking distance, malin market, otop market, beach, jungceylon , bazaan market, bangla rd. I would recommend the hotel for price and location.
Atmosphere Is great, live performances at dinner, pools great, rooms were so clean. Family friendly but will suit any one. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were terrific - very polite and very thorough
We visit this hotel now every year, i see they have a lot of return customers and we all seem to reunite each year. This resort goes up and above to keep customers happy ,we have dirk (alex) who goes above and beyond to help and nothings a problem,in the restaurant there is krainarong, joey, gian, christine who made our stay pleasant. The staff here really make this hotel a great place to be.You have to stick in the restaurant at night for the live entertainment with cat and jefferie and madz,we love this place.......see you next year!
We stayed here while in Phuket and found that it was the least nice hotel we stayed in all of Thailand. If you are looking for a true resort style hotel that caters to the crowds but has no personality, then this place is for you. The rooms were nice and large (but dirty) and the location was prime. Unfortunately, the prices were way too high and the staff were not all that polite. I would not return to this hotel.
I have been staying at Baumanburi for nearly 10 years .Over recent years i have stayed 3 times each year in the months April / May and August .I have found Baumanburi excellent value and i can't speak highly enough of the courteous staff .I will continue to stay at Baumanburi in the coming years
Returning to Patong after 20 years and bringing our children along this time to experience the culture of Thailand,we knew things may have changed and it would be unfair to reflect on that holiday. There is good and there is bad at this hotel and it depends on what of course are your own individual requirements. For us the hotel struggles with consistenancy and therefore people question its 4 star rating. If you rent the hotel (cheaper) rooms at the front of the hotel then you will have your ears blasted out by the 'hard rock cafe' because there is little sound proofing in these rooms. With that said the hotel moved us further away once we complained and with little fuss. To a room that they had recently refurbished which was of a much better standard and further away from the noise. The cleaning in the rooms was reasonable and rooms were made up if requsted on the plaque outside your room. However tile grout dust remained around the sink in the bathroom and all the tiles from the recent refurbishment works and was not cleaned off during our stay. So yes during our stay they were refurbishing parts of the hotel and a large tile cutting grinder could be heard most days, Even the hotel management think its okay to cut out and grind and fit new tiles around the swimming pool while its guest try and relax and whilst covering them in dust. Some of the staff at the hotel are lovely they will go over and beyond to try and help you enjoy your holiday, while others let their work collegues down and while we wouldnt allow that to impact on our holiday it should be addressed and i think looking at other reviews it does seems to be a recurring item The pool grouting needs replacing in places but the kids loved the pool and water always looked clean, but never saw anybody once clean down the sunbed cushions. The rooms are spacious and adequate, you are in a great loation approx 500 m to the beach and walking distance to much of shopping, bars etc. It has a good gym with ac. The beach still has white sand but so much plastic in the water (what a shame)we preferred the beach at Karon which reminded us of Patong 20 years ago. Breakfast at the hotel is very good with plenty of options . Although tables and chairs look tired and feel sticky look dirty and screech on the floor as people struggle to move the heavy chairs ( need to fit some felt to the bottom of them). The food from the restaurant is always good and they regularily have a band playing in the evening and a very good saxophonist. We did use the laundry service outside the hotel and had no problems We enjoyed the Two Chef restaurant and bar well worth a visit. But there are plenty of great local Thai restaurants. We also visited Phuket Kart Speedway and did the ATV buggy offroading and the Go-karting, the kids absolutley loved it and so did Dad fastest go karts they have ever ridden. We also shopped until we dropped and visited :- Jungceylon Premium outlet Central Festival Phuket walking Market Patong food market And many more and all great! With all that ive said we have enjoyed our holiday in Thailand and for the record the kids wanted to give the hotel 4 stars.
I removed my original review of this hotel as I hadn't completed my stay here and was quite angry when I first wrote it. So here's my calm review: Pro's: Great pool One nice staff member House keeping super friendly Good location Room cleaned everyday Cons: Superior room is not as advertised - I'm talking completely different it's shocking. Poor customer service when trying to resolve the issue Reception unhelpful apart from check out when I met lovely staff Were told to wait until check in time however the room was dusty and clearly hadn't been occupied in a while so it was strange we didn't get early check in.
I was on a 5 day vacation and stayed in baumanburi. The hotel is definitely value for money. I was solo& They surprised me with birthday cake. Buffet breakfast is sumptuous. Spa is very good. Nice hospitality. Recommended...
We had a deluxe room with pool view. The room was spacious clean and had good aircon and good size bathroom with separate bath and shower. Great swimming pool and close to Otop market. The only downside to the Baumanburi for us was the buffet breakfast. Although plentiful was not really to our taste. They cater more for the bus loads of chinese tourists they get. All in all a good hotel in a good location. For around $50 australian a night well worth it.
