If your on a low budget or getting in a day earlier than expected then look harder because the beds in this place are terrible. You get what you pay for!! Got in late so I didn't have time to look for another place.
This resort is situated at Bangtao beach, its very clean and the staff are extremley helpful. They will help you organise your trips and arrange transport by taxi on request. The pool is a decent size although a few more chairs would be good. The beach is 5 mins walk, it also is a clean beach with a lifeguard, the first one ive ever seen in Thailand. Mostly families come here so not a lot of nightlife which I found ideal. There are a good selection of places to have a meal of a night.
Clean, airconditioned rooms. small living area. pool was clean and adequate. 5 min walk to beach. Ahmed and staff very helpful and friendly. Continental Breakfast included. Good value. Lovely gardens. Exterior of bungalows looking tired and in need of repair, however inside they are clean and very comfortable.
the beds are like sleeping on a plank of wood. honestly the day beds on the beach are more comfortable. found it very hard to find anybody who can speak english. so it was hard to arrange anything. the curtains are not lined so be prepared to have the sun blazing in on you early.
We were planning to stay at Banh Tao beach and this hotel for a week, then move to other Phuket or inland beaches. But after 2 days of staying my Dad said: go and prolong it till the end of our vacations. I did and we were not dissapointed. We didn't order breakfast in hotel it is rather poor. But the rest of srervice was excellent. The hotel has two rows of bungalows with nice verandas where one can sit and have a cup of tea or a beer. There is a teakettle in the room, for beer You need to go to the nearest 7-11. Room ares not big but fairly enough for a beach vacation 'cause You are not planning to sit inside when You come for the sun and sea. Beds are comfortable, AC is not noisy and cool perfectly. Toilet amenities and shower are ok. Reception can help with taxi and airport transfer. The pool is small but lovely. Good for children or sunbathing around during hot hours. Beach is just 5 min of lazy walk. The best things of the hotel is that bangalows gives You sort of privacy even they stand close to each other. They are full of foliage that gives You a feeling that You are in a tropical forest. Butterflies, birds, exotic flowers - all this gives You a feeling of tranquility and leasure. We also were happy to have a pond with waterfall and koi fish infront of the entrance to our bungalow. Isn't it a paradise?
It was a good and clean place to stay with friendly staff. Recommended for people looking forward to stay around halal food restaurants. Also very near to the beach. Hardly 2 minutes walk. Also highly recommended for couples and family going on vacation. The whole place felt and the neighborhood felt like a nice quite tourist town.
My boyfriend and I really liked the accommodations. Very close (less than 10 minutes) to the beach. The rooms are spacious. It was the first time in awhile I have seen a bath / shower combo in the bathroom which was a nice treat. The breakfast is 200 baht so remember it's not included! We liked the staff, AC in room, great pool, beds were a bit hard but nothing bad.
We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in July. The beds were hard as rock (no exaggeration) and the bungalows were decorated by someone with questionable 50s throwback taste. Our safe was not fixed to the wall and so after much difficulty trying to explain this to the night manager (who spoke very minimal English) we carried to safe to reception to show them what we meant. They came to fix it the next morning, which was necessary as the doors to the bungalow could easily have been wrenched open as they were very thin and flimsy. The pool was nice and quiet, and the gardens were lovely however for the price you could easily have found somewhere else superior nearby.
If you intend on sleeping then it's best to find somewhere else to stay. The village resort looks lovely with a nice pool. However, the rooms look like those from 'fawlty towers' with original decor from 1950s England. We made some gecko friends in our room which was fine. However, the beds were so hard that if you absent mindedly plonked yourself down you risked fracturing your coccyx. Also, the safe was the least safe I have ever seen and to explain this to the staff I had to carry the safe to reception to show them our concerns !
We had a 9 night stay here as a couple. Overall very good and great value for money. Small property, 28 bungalows which is great if you're looking for quiet and relaxing time. Pool very nice but could do with some minor repairs around the surrounds. Rooms basic but comfortable with daily service and cleaning. We had breakfast included which was a good start to the day however the menu was quite basic. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our stay here was in May and we experienced rain on most days which was a bit of a downer although still warm. All in all we would stay here again.
