Honestly...

I’m sorry to say that this was not a good choice for us. We found the unit to be uncomfortably small and confining. No space for our luggage...very tiny bedroom. It might be a better fit for a younger traveler with a backpack (no luggage) who did not require the comforts that our older bodies seem to need (things like a firm bed, comfortable chairs, dining space, natural lighting, room to maneuver). To fit 4 in this unit using air mattress (as advertised) would be very, very tight.

We loved the idea of staying in a renovated garage at the back of the main house. The two small gardens, foilage and outdoor setting were charming. The interior of the garage/guest house was cleverly designed and ecclectic. But the crowning touch were the two small dogs and large Lab "Murphy" who casually wandered in for dog treats (supplied by owners in our house). All the necessary amenities were provided. Loved the historic area and thoroughly enjoyed strolling around this charming neighborhood, which is any thing but the typical urban neighborhood. We even stumbled onto an Estate sale a few blocks from us......really vintage stuff! So much fun! If I had to live in Phoenix (not a desirable choice), I could be happy in this neighborhood.

QUIET, CLEAN, WARM & COMFORTABLE, CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN PHOENIX

It was nice & near the airport for our arrival. It provided us with an excellent base for exploring Phoenix & area. We usually prefer more walking options for dinner. Eventually we found FORNO 301 (Italian) and BASILIK (Vietnamese), both near the intersection of McDowell & Central Ave....about a 20 min pleasant walk through neighborhood streets.

Quiet retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little guest house! It’s in a quiet and safe location close to downtown Phoenix and easy access to the freeway. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped with pantry items .. everything we needed. The owner is in the main house and was so helpful with any requests we had. I would highly recommend this property!

Winter Getaway

We just spent 2 weeks at this property while visiting with friends in Tempe. Tia, the property manager is very pleasant and accommodating responding to any requests right away. The guest house is small but well equipped. Unfortunately the weather wasn't nice enough for us to sit out or cook on the grill. We were a little disappointed that the TV is on an antenna and not satellite/cable as per VRBO property description. The property is located in a vey nice neighborhood and within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants.

Very nice and very quiet neighborhood

Everything went according to plan with our stay. We were close to everything we needed to be. Close to downtown Phoenix and it’s great restaurant scene. It was also very easy to hop on the freeway to get anywhere else we wanted to go. The guest house was perfectly suited for us. Clean, comfy, and easy to relax at after the day was over. I would stay again and highly recommend.

We booked this space for 2 nights for a concert we were going to attend in Phoenix. And it was perfect! The community is very quiet, and you have plenty of privacy. This space was only 10 minutes away from where the concert would be. Shops are all walking distance as well. Tia was so helpful and patient with us. We accidentally locked ourselves out, and she was so quick to open the Casita for us. I would stay here again, and recommend it to whoever needs to stay in Phoenix. Thumbs up!

Comfortable, private, intimate, convenient....wonderful!

Having just completed a three-week stay at the Guest House -- an escape from the 5th month of a Montana winter -- I can't say enough good things about this property! The neighborhood is fantastic, the location convenient, and the facilities themselves top notch in every way. The full size kitchen is fully appointed and stocked with everything needed to feel at home. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom nicely appointed and the living area cozy yet quite ample for a one bedroom casita. The indoor experience is topped off by a lush, intimate backyard space with a separate area set aside for guests that includes a small gas grill and gas fire ring. All the necessities are provided for, and the owner is very responsive to any questions or needs that arise. I enjoyed their two friendly dogs, one of whom often stopped out to say hi in the evening, but never overstayed her welcome. If you're looking to stay in one of the nicer historic neighborhoods in downtown Phoenix, its hard to imagine a better choice. Thanks again for providing the perfect spot for my escape from the frozen north this year....and everything to make it feel like a true home away from home. If I could give it a 6th star I would....hope to be back again!

Awesome place!

This place was great. The space was very nice and clean. The outdoor space was beautiful. It is in a very quiet neighborhood but close to the airport and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy some quiet reading outside. Maybe next time!
