Housekeeper is not working well, breakfast is too simple
Very spacious and comfortable
Hallways are a bit dated, and room doors could use priming/painting. Our room faced freeway, so a bit loud from traffic noise. Otherwise, furniture was nice, bedroom separate from larger sitting area with separate breakfast bar with room to sit and eat, modern appliances and large fridge was nice. Very friendly staff. Since no ice makers for premade ice (room freezers have ice maker, but you’d have to wait for it to make ice, and we needed it shortly after arrival), the front desk staff got some from the kitchen for us. Good breakfast with hot items (eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffle maker) and typical continental items (fruit, yogurt, pastries, bagels, oatmeal, cereals, juice, coffee). Can be back on I-17 in 2 minutes to head to Flagstaff or elsewhere. Only recommendation would be for the hotel shop to sell some bottled water or Gatorade. Only pop or beer was available.
This is a great property for 1-2 nights, which is what we did with our family. We stayed in a two-bedroom unit and was impressed with the space and comfort of the rooms; however, as other reviews have noted, this hotel is in dire need of updating. You can tell that some things have been updated (e.g. fridge) while others are ancient (e.g. stove top). The sinks and beds were clean while the king bedroom bath tub drain was clogged with hair. Inconsistent across the board with the way the rooms were kept up and cleaned. I *will* say that the staff at this Homewood is very professional, the breakfast and evening happy hour were pleasant and as expected (not dinner, just happy hour), and we didn't feel unsafe even with it being by Metrocenter. Our room was right on the corner of the building by the freeway/frontage road and we still found noise levels to be minimal. Would I stay again? Yes. Would I stay for a long period of time? No.
From the outside it looks well maintained but until you start noticing the area. Hotel staff were nice but the area was not so good
Very accommodating Front Desk and manager. I had to cut my stay short and they refunded the rest of my nights. Great value for the room complete with kitchen and separate room. Best deal on that I’ve ever had. Worthy of the Hilton brand. Highly recommend this property.
Window was off in our room and we have 2 small kids. Staff did not seem to care. Turned on the sink and smells like a dead rat. Elevators are disgusting and whole places needs been carpets. Place looks nothing like the photos. We did not stay our full stay. Stay somewhere else.
Overall a good place to stay
The hotel has an infestation of bedbugs and a very unhelpful staff.
I was impressed with the room size, and the initial appearance when you walk in the lobby, is very nice. The free breakfast was wonderful, lots of options. The staff was very pleasant and there is lots of places ti eat and a mini amusement park nearby! We will stay here again.
Little bugs all over the bathroom and bathtub very old made to look new online
Older adult mom stayed with young adult son to visit nearby school. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Rooms were spacious. Great bathroom layout. Lighting in room so-so. Weekday meals provided - not great cuisine, but they certainly do try & will save you a few dollars. Full breakfast. Used work out room which had two treadmills and good elliptical and free weights - got fairly decent workouts. Visited in January - did not use pool
Staff was very friendly which made our stay very nice. The food service people in the morning worked very hard and were nice. Room was very sizable and the kitchenette was very manageable.
The suite is awesome. Got kitchen and lounge area. Close to restaurants and highway. They were renovating the kitchen when we were there so the access to the kitchen from our room was a little hassle, but I think it's different now. This hotel is big, so expect a long walk to your room if they give you the middle part. Breakfast is simple. Other than that, we had a great stay here.
It was very nice and comfortable. Rooms were clean. They were remodeling so had a hard time getting in at first, but other than that no complaints
This is a good hotel. Location is very convenient around shopping centers and lots of restaurants. Very friendly staff and clean rooms.
I have stated at Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Metro Center four different occasions and another Homewood Suites in Baltimore, MD. In the pass I have been very satisfied with Homewood Suites; however I was very disappointed with my stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix. Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix kitchen cabinet door was broken, two handles on the dresser were broken, refrigerated ice maker was broken, and water pressure was low. Another disappointment was Television all channels had advertisement to the left of the screen very annoying and 50% of the channels were set aside for paid preview.
We really enjoyed our stay. Good customer service. The only con was that the location was to close to the fwy but overall it was awesome!
the room was great for my family of 7. We had room to spread out 2 bathrooms and space for everyone to move around. had a pool. quiet. it was like having 3 seperate rooms in 1 hotel room. 2 bathrooms was great when you have 4 girls.
