Good and Bad
The house was definitely a 5 star house. The beds were all large and extraordinarily comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with ample water, coffee, and everything that we needed except that neither of the ice makers worked in either of the two full size refrigerators. A major asset for the house was the hand held shower wands, and they are so valuable as I have a handicap and have to shower sitting down. The floors in the kitchen and dinning room area were exceptionally dirty. The bathrooms were dirty with visible hair in the tubs and all the bath mats were also obviously dirty. One of the commodes had not been cleaned. There was not enough hot water to accommodate when several of the group needed to shower at the same time. It would have been nice to have had tissues and trash cans in the bedrooms. Also, when we arrived there were not enough hand towels or wash cloths for all the bathrooms; however, to his credit, when we informed him, the owner responded quickly to supply them for us. We feel that cleanliness is the most important factor in determining the 3 rating. All the negative issues can be, in our opinion, easily corrected and be brought in line with the standards we have experienced in our previous stays at Vrbo properties. If you charge a 5 rating price we expect a 5 rating experience. It is really a very nice house. It is worth a try. Maybe our week was just an exception. We will look elsewhere next year, but we might try it again in the future.
