Spent 2 nights in this hotel and really enjoyed it My bedroom was lovely and spacious and I really the fresh fruit which was complimentary in my room I also had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and the breakfast was very good
Although the staff were very helpful from check in to check out, the hotel itself was rather lacking. The rooms, although huge, were very dated and in need of a major over hall. Our room was at the back of the hotel and looked out over other building so we did not even have the benefit of a nice view. Food in the buffet breakfast was the normal fare and was tasty but nothing outstanding. I would say the biggest thing letting this hotel down is the lack of a swimming pool. When in such a warm and humid place a pool for us is a must but as this was part of our Insider Journey's tour it was choosen for us. Honestly would not stay again if we were in Cambodia
We had one night stay in this hotelas a part of our cam-vietnam tour. The hotel is in a decent location in the city, close to popular attractions like silver pagoda and royal palace. The check in was smooth and took no time to get in to the rooms. The rooms though big are dated. The toilets are neat and clean with an array of quality essentials. The lifts are fast. The rakfast next morning had a good spread and lot of varieties to choose with. Also the snacks we ordered the prevous night was sumptuous. The attitude of the staff is very positive and helpful. Thus the choice turned out to be a good one.
As this was my first trip to Phnom Penh, staying at Sunway helped ease my anxieties and made me feel at home the second my taxi arrived at the door. I was greeted with an "Assalamualaikum" by the front office staff, a Cambodian Muslim named Mansor if I'm not mistaken, and was attended to by two very friendly reception staff, both of whom were called Srey. They helped me put together a half-day tour to cover the best of Phnom Penh as I was only here for the weekend. My room had an awesome balcony and the bed was so comfortable that I overslept 25 minutes past my alarm. Room service was fast, I ordered fish and chips and the portion was big! I only wish the hotel (and its sister Sunway Hanoi) would serve halal food again. I know it's hard to get commercial supply of halal meats but do please go the extra mile for it. Anyhow for the price and comfort I will return to this hotel on my future trips. Thank you for the princess treatment.
We were doing a tour through Cambodia and this was the hotel we stayed in for two nights in the capital in a quiet area. Our room was very good with complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Good buffet breakfast with good choice of hot and cold dishes. We had an early start for the airport and they arranged for a breakfast box Only thing missing is a swimming pool. It is a short walk to the river but very busy streets to cross away from the hotel. Near to Wat Phnom which is in the middle of a roundabout.
This hotel is well located in the city and the staff are super helpful. Let us use the spa showers after a day out in the city before we flew out to go back to Ho Chi Min City. Good good and a long happy hour.
Good location to see the city and places of interest like th Killing Fields. Rooms were well appointed and spacious. Friendly staff food/drink prices reasonably with good pools and jacuzzis. Breakfasts were excellent and good variety. Had good lunch there of soup that was a meal on its own.
This hotel ticks a lot of boxes. Good location in quieter bit of town, but easy tuk tuk ride to the main strip by the river. Rooms are fine, a little dated but very clean. Breakfast was great, one of the best I had in Cambodia. Staff all friendly and polite. My only wish would be for a pool or even just an outdoor area where you can relax after a long days sightseeing. There is a bar, but this is quite dated and although staff were very friendly it lacked any atmosphere. Would recommend though.
My experience was very good. Hotel while a little old was very clean and well maintained. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Perfect location near to restaurants and nightlife. I found no fault whatsoever. During my time there there were many tours for older western folk but this did not impact my stay. The bar lounge is quiet but this turned out to be a nice respite and place to cool down. I was in a balcony room which was a very good size. A trip to S21 and the Genocide Killing Fields is a must
Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay is the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. On last day I asked Hotel camera for photograph session and they were very helpful to click our group photograph. The team at kitchen was also kind to provide lunch and tea break at different timing on different day. The dining room for our breakfast was large and ample food. We couldn't have asked for anything more here. Thanks for making our event that much better. We look forward to come here again.
