close enough to the royal palace, away from the regular Western tourist area, which is on the other side of the Palace. Note well: ALL single rooms have NO window. If you want a window you must get a room with a window. O- bits was able to upgrade my room with no problem. I have found the 'no window' situation in other Asian countries also. Singapore and other cities in Cambodia. Had a nice quiet room. Then after noticing a leak in the ceiling from the room above, they moved me to a more expensive room. EXCEPT it was on the 3rd fl facing the street. Noisy [celebration outside], and the 4th floor has the dining area and bar. So for those of us that go to sleep early, the scraping of the chairs and other noise went on late into the nite.
this hotel was bad at 0545 roosters started crowing which woke me up at 0730 staff started moving furniture in other rooms again woke me up there was mold in the bathtub moulding no hand towels the room temp was set so that you could not change it so it was either hot or cold in room there was foul smell in elevator and on ground floor in pm i would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends and this hotel turned a very good vacation into a bad experance
