On a short shopping trip to Phnom Penh we stayed at the new Naga World 2. Very nice, but sligthly small rooms. Good views over downtown. Everything you need is provided in the room. Very large buffet breakfast included in room rate. I would def stay again in Naga 2 with the promo rate of $85.
The hotel gives a pretty good first impression just from the nice decor in the lobby but once you leave the lobby and casino floor the rooms seem like they were designed in the 70s and are just dirty and not maintained. Most of the staff says they speak English but really don’t. They don’t offer any private tours and I was told my only option was to go on a big tour bus with a Chinese speaking guide. And perhaps the worst thing of all is that I have a suspicion that there is no regulating agency making sure the casino doesn’t cheat its guests. For example I played a few hands of blackjack and the dealer tried to take my money when she only had I 12 showing, when I called her out she apologized and then pulled the next card which happened to be a 9 literally the only card that could beat my 20. Every table has electronic shufflers so it’s not a stretch to think they are rigging them in their favor. So in conclusion this place is terrible and I wouldn’t come back if I were paid to. Definitely should not be rated a five star hotel.
Overall everything out here is every good, if you looking for Indian Food, then you can find at Naga World 2, however it does not have much variety but still the food is good. If you like gambling then must visit place, also near to Royal Palace and other scenic locations.
It was our first business trip to Cambodia and we chose to stay at this hotel for 3 nights. Our company made reservations online. It was so slow. When we actually got there the hotel welcomed us with an internal fight between front desk staff due to some systemic issues with our reservation. We arrived at the hotel quite late at night when most restaurants there were closed except from one cafeteria which served SE Asian cuisines. Food was okay but we really could not understand the way the staff operated. Whenever we entered the hotel we had our belongings scanned or checked by security officers. It was understandable since this place is a casino hotel. However we still felt very much inconvenient. Be careful when you decide to catch taxis or Tuk Tuks in front of this hotel! Extreme overcharging! We got overcharged by a taxi driver right in front of the hotel one night. When we refused to pay such unreasonable amount of money the driver started yelling at us and claimed himself as the police which sounded just ridiculously. We asked hotel staff if we could see any real police officers since we got so sick of this issue but sadly there were none. Only one hotel security guy appeared to solve the problem when the taxi driver started to pick up rocks on the pavement to attack us. We had so many places to visit that evening but decided to remain indoors since we were so scared by what had happened. The hotel spa -The Elixir of Life is another unpleasant story. We paid roughly $80/pax/2hours which seemingly already a little above average. After the massage which wasn’t worth the price, I was asked privately by the staff for $20 more as tip. When I replied that I had already paid and didn’t have such amount of money with me as tip, this staff suggested I go the other room in which my colleague was to ask for that $20(?!) Our stay at Naga world hotel was a big disappointment. Never coming back!
The service is okay. However, comparing to the other hotels we have stayed in Cambodia, they are not really responsive to your needs. The hotel has the worst food I ever had. 🤢🤮 This place has a casino downstairs, so you know it can be very noisy. Not good for families with children.
Stayed for two nights at the newly open Naga world 2 at room 1526. Every things new...guest rooms, restaurants, shops, casino, etc. On 1st day I received morning call promptly at 6.45am but it was not so on the 2nd day. Luckily I moved to another hotel. If I have a plane to catch would be a problem. Reception although friendly and helpful, many are new staff to the hospitality.....needs lots of training pertaining to guest satisfaction and excellent services. I would suggest that there should be separate rooms for smokers & non smokers. Also, every open areas of the premises are available for smoking.....which is unfair & unkind to the non smokers. The breakfast was pleasant and with lots of choices to select from. The bellmen were courteous and assisted me to keep my luggage prior to departure. It was an excellent experience to stay in the biggest hotel in Phnom Penh.
Naga world is the best hotel and casino in Phnom Penh. It is 100% entertainment place in Asia other than Jakarta. Food is too good and the entire stay is electrifying. no wards just feeling here. Naga hotel have 2 wings but still the old Naga 1 is the best.
I stayed last week for 2 days. Overall as a casino hotel the experience I had was actually very pleasantly good. The reception was friendly, the bellman was courteous. Breakfast at main restaurant has ample choices. The room was comfortable and cozy. I will come back next time to stay in this hotel. Recommend to those who prefers reasonable price hotel that offers business facilities.
There are two Nagaworld Hotel ie Nagaworld1 and Nagaworld2(NEW). We stayed at the old Nagaworld hotel ie Nagaworld1. Clean and nice room with spacious toilet. For non smokers, it is important to remember to ask for non smoking room becos the stench of the stale smoke is quite strong to bear for the non smokers. The hotel itself has many restuarants within and a huge casino for the gamers! I personally find the superb breakfast as the key selling point of this hotel ;). Many variety of foods to choose from. To enjoy the wide range of options available, you should cater minimally an hour. Lol Will stay here ( or maybe try the new Nagaworld) for my next visit to Phnom Penh!
Decored with an opulent style, this mall has designers stores, a casino, and also includes a Duty Free downstairs in floor -1. They have good security and friendly service. Not the best prices. Everything is kept very clean, including the carpets (casino carpets usually stink to cigarrettes and liquor, but this was very clean).
