We stayed here for 3 nights. It’s a good central hotel. Staff are friendly and give you a complimentary fruit juice on arrival. The lift is very slow so if you are on a high floor it might take you a while to get to your room. Rooms were cleaned daily and a free water was provided each day. There is cable tv in the room which is good, has a fair few channels. A couple tuk tuk drivers usually hang about outside the hotel offering you a lift if needed. The hotel is within walking distance of the riverside and most pubs and restaurants (about 15 minute walk). There is WiFi and it works most of the time but randomly cut out a couple times. There is a restaurant on the bottom floor which is good, serving a number of dishes. We had pad Thai. Overall it was a nice short stay.
As tour leader i stay in this hotel many times with my groups. The rooms are renovated and are spacious and very clean. The breakfast is good with a lot of choise from different dishes. The location i a bit far from the riverside but their are all day friendly tuk tuk drivers opposit the hotel and for 2 and half dollar you are in a few minutes by the riverside. The central market is at walking distance and the staff from the hotel is very friendly. Just be careful with your morning calls mito hotel !!! 6.30 is 6.30 and not 6.45. So please be correct in the timing. The very good thing that Mito does is the waring board in the lobby regarding pick pockets in PP. Because i know from experiance with my groups that this is a real plague in PP. So good Mito. Keep on warning your guests about that and i will recoment your hotel to everybody.
I'm from the US and recently stayed at Mito Hotel during my first trip to Cambodia. I 100% recommend staying here! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Lee Hong and Chanda Hun, who speak both English/Khmer. They went out of their way to help us plan our itinerary by giving us top recommendations for sight-seeing in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Koh Rong and assisting us with our accommodations. Due to their help, we had an absolutely incredible experience! The hotel is clean, comfortable, modern, and serves delicious breakfast everyday. It's also in the heart of Phnom Penh. You won't regret your stay at Mito!!!
Rooms were good as everything was working well and clean. The staff was friendly with good English. Breakfast is does the job. Location is close to everything but not exactly at the tourisric attractions & bars on the riverside. Tripadvisor mention airport shuttle but I was not contacted in that regards.
Many years ago this hotel was "l'Orchidée", and the home to several Australian Peacekeepers who were part of UNTAC; to return and see how much it had changed, and how in some ways it had retained its' earlier character was cathartic. The manageress "remembered" us from all those days ago when she was a young chambermaid ... and to be able to recount the history that she'd survived gave us much pause for thought. The hotel now caters to a younger clientèle, but still exudes the charm and friendliness for which we remember it, and altho' we didn't stay there the listed tariffs are reasonable for the environment and standard. The Monastery across the road is one of the oldest in Phnom Penh, and one in which we found some solace in troubled times.
We stayed here for 5 days. Comfortable rooms. Staff are lovely, special mention to the breakfast staff who were very helpful. Breakfast was good: hot dishes, soups, fruit, bread and jam but once it's gone it doesn't seem to be replenished no matter what time breakfast finishes but the waitresses will make you some eggs or get you some fruit. The hotel is 10 minute walk to plenty of bars and restaurants, 20 minutes to the royal palace and the river, good location. You can get a tuk tuk to take you to the prison and killing fields from here, will take best part of a day, $20 for a tuk tuk The hotel has rooms without windows, we asked for a room with a window and the staff moved us, no problem. Wifi in all areas, not great connection but it was free
Very friendly staff and a straightforward check in. We were given an immediate upgrade and the rooms were beautiful. Everything a hotel room should have and an en-suite shower room that would compete with anything in the city. The breakfast was a buffet service but a proper Cambodian noodle soup breakfast was also available. Service was excellent and efficient. It’s a pity we were here for such a short period, but next time I’m in town I’ll make a booking.
Mito Hotel is easily one of the better hotels in Phnom Penh. Spent 10 nights here for business and found Mito's location extremely convenient. Tuk Tuks readily available outside when you need it, together with friendly guards on standby. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable bedding. Breakfast is limited but enough, with ready-to-cook eggs. Staff have been super friendly and helpful, but the superstar has to go to Reservations-Team Mr. Samady. He has catered to our needs and wants to make our stay feel more comfortable. Thank you! *Make sure to try their M cafe located on the ground floor - good food.
It has potential sure. Two days were good. You may encounter noise. No idea why housekeeping starts cleaning at 7 am in the morning. The front staff needs to be retrained a bit on CS skills. There is a middle aged female manager with glasses that was helpful, accommodating and even gave me her card in case I needed anything. The reception guy made a face when I booked uber instead of the overpriced tuk tuk which they are very happy to arrange for you.
The staff here are wonderful. They make you feel at home where everything you need from the people you want to to be with especially when you're away from home would be given by these people in the hotel. Rooms are well taken cared of and brakfast are good.
