Beds a bit stiff but pillows soft & fluffy, & rooms are large with good air con. Location is ideal & staff really friendly & helpful. 2 pools to play & cool off in, & you have use of the hotel pool adjacent the Queen Grand. We soaked in the rooftop pool with a full bar. Would defo stay again.
The hotel is located right in the middle of the original backpacker area - just a few blocks from the Royal Palace - which has gone markedly upscale over the past 20 years. The hotel is in renovated shophouses, so it has a quite "modern" feel. But the room was very small. Fortunately, I managed to get a room on a high floor with a view of the river. The roof top pool - also with river view - is very nice for late afternoon relaxation. We got a reasonable price and good service.
Hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to Royal Palace, Neak Banh Teok Park and Wat Botum Park and the other direction was the river and up to the night markets. Room was basic but clean, quiet at night. Rooftop view was lovely. Meals not so good - very overcooked meat if you chose a western meal. Breakfast very basic.
This hotel was really unsuitable for our booking you had to go up in a lift then walk down 3 flights of stairs to get to the room. When you leave you then have to carry your bags up the three flights of stairs to reach the lift. This was the only hotel in Vietnam and Cambodia where we had to carry our own bags it was also the only one that did not have a lift to every floor. Breakfast was poor and had little choice. They took orders for omelettes but brought them with every item of filling they had not what you ordered and had no idea who they were for (Be warned if you have a food allergy check what they have put in). Although not directly the hotel fault they seemed to accept people spitting and smoking in the restaurant. The room was small. Reception staff are helpful but not allowed to make decisions you have to wait for the manager in the morning.
The hotel is situated near the Royal Palace and the National Museum. A lot of restaurants and bars are nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpsome. The staff in the reception arranged a City tour for us
Hotel is very well located near large park and main boulevarde. In quiet street once bar across road closed (was early enough). Staff were very good, friendly and helpful. Good English. Spacious room with couch and desk, etc, comfortable bed. Several windows but limited view.
This hotel is well located in the city and there are plenty of restaurants with local and international food nearby to choose from. Our room on the front of the hotel was spacious and comfortable, but we had to negotiate a few stairs to get there as the lift was in the back of the hotel and stopped just above or just below our level. The small rooftop pool was a great place to cool off and relax and there is a slightly larger pool on the ground level. Whilst classified by our tour operator as a 3 star hotel it was of a higher standard than most with this rating. Breakfast was plentiful and the staff fantastic, helping with luggage, money exchange and ensuring towels available at the pool.
The hotel is very well located. Many famous places are reachable by walking. The hotel staff is extremly friendly and helpful. We had a question concernig our tour, the people on the reception did a couple of calls to help us.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Had to change rooms because AC was not working. But staff was very helpful and accommodating. Nice clean Budget Accommodation. Small pool on top floor and ground floor. Basic breakfast, omelet was delicious.
We found this gem in a back street in Phomn Penh, the site however is close to many attractions, the room was small but had everything you need for a pleasant stay. There is a rooftop pool and bar which was great to relax in. The restaurant and main pool are on the ground floor, we only ate breakfast in house and the food was of a high quality and there was lots of it. The staff were very polite, accommodating and nothing was too hard. I would highly recommend staying at the King Grand Boutique Hotel.
