Near the river and with everything either a comfortable walk away or a $2 to $3 tuk tuk ride. Staff are well trained and will fix problems without fuss. Breakfast is OK and other meals are quite good. We upgraded to the Premier Deluxe for a small fee and were happy with our room. We would stay there again.

Our tour guide for our half day city said this was one of the best located hotels in Phnom Penh. In a quiet narrow little street. Within easy walking distance of many attractions and eateries. We stayed in room 107 which was above the dining room and the pool, but was very quiet. Room and bathroom were both spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. There is an excellent Nepalese / Indian restaurant. The Sky bar affords some great views over part of city. I recommend this hotel.

Nice modern and clean hotel in a very good location. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with good air con. Breakfast was good and all the staff were very nice, helpful and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

its truly a Grand Boutique, I loved the environment, they have this beautiful calming flowers through out the hotel, its near the Royal Palace and the night market if you are up for an evening stroll. I loved the food. it was a perfect place to come back to after visiting the Prison museum and the Killing Fields. the nation has come such a long way and the visit was such a eye opener. I would stay there again in a flesh!

Rooms were neat and clean. Overall friendly staffs and good service. Interesting places to be visited surrounding the hotel. Good food. Good WiFi. Will definitely stay in this hotel for my next stay...

2 minute walk from the Royal Palace, this is a strategial place to enjoy Phnom Penh: comfortable and clean (Cambodian standards apply) is nor too much tourist trap nor a hovel. Plenty of rickshaw, this place is good to hire (bargain for it) a driver for all your stay: safer, cheaper and sometimes he will bring you to some hidden spot.

We had a pleasant stay at King Grand Boutique Hotel. All of the staff we met are all helpful and service minded. The room comes with comfy bed. And the most important is about location which is close to the Royal Palace.

walking distance from kings palace, lovely bars, and great views from the rooms and the rooftop bar. Helpful tuk tuk driver for the hotel gave us a great evening tour and took us to a good restaurant.

King Grand Boutique Hotel The worst hotel we were in during our whole stay in Indochina – we were there for a month. I will explain point by point: Location: It is located in a very scary alley. Yes, it is close to the Royal Palace but far away from the markets, the restaurants and the city atmosphere. Rooms: Nothing is what it looks like in the pictures. The furniture is old and dirty. Covered in blemishes and damage. To get to our rooms we needed to get a lift and several stairs. There is something like two buildings next to eachother which makes it really difficult to move around when carrying your suitcases. Bottled water is 2.5 dollars for a small bottle, more than any luxurious restaurants in the city, it would be like charging 10 euros in Europe – extremely expensive. Staff: Very unfriendly, moody, did not see one smile in our whole stay and they are not willing to help when you need them to. If you ask for yogurt or a bit of oil for breakfast at 8am, when the breakfast shift ends at 10 am, they will say they don’t have left and won’t give you any. Swimming pool: The one on the roof top is tiny and the water is very dirty, there are four sunbeds because they can’t fit anymore. The one downstairs is IN the restaurant, with no space for lying down without being seen by everyone having their dinner. The water there is also dirty. Restaurant: The worst thing we have ever experienced. We spent two days there, we ate lunch in the hotel’s restaurant as soon as we arrived and they served us food in very bad state. Our only days in Phnom Penh were spent in the hotel bed with terrible stomach pains, diarrhoea and vomits. We told the reception staff but they offered no help, they didn’t have a set protocol for these cases. We had to ring the doctors back in Spain 5 times. We were in a very bad state. Management: Appalling. After missing two days of holidays – with the cost that implies (planes, hotels, visas...), when I asked to speak to the manager (which I had to ask 4 TIMES), he offered a 30% discount over the restaurant bill and the water we drank from the room fridge. Unbelievable. After the unbearable pain, missing part of our vacation, the plane costs, the hotel and the horrible time my children had (two underage), I still had to pay for the intoxicated food and the water we had to drink to prevent dehydration. Complaint Form: When I asked for a complaints form, they gave me a blank piece of paper and a pen. Please find the photo attached. I will be in touch with the Cambodian Embassy in Spain to formalise the complaint because even after I had to pay for the intoxicated meal, I never got a receipt for it nor a complaint form. The manager even threatened me when I decided not to accept his discount as blackmail. I did let him know that there were ways to make legal complaints, but he did not know about them. I also told him I would share my experience with the TripAdvisor community.

Found staff difficult to communicate with due to language barrier, staff are not overly friendly or helpful. Linen was grey/brown in colour. Will only take fresh US notes and can not assist with exchanging money.
