Juliana Hotel Phnom Penh3.5 out of 5.0

We stayed 10 days at Juliana Hotel and enjoyed the services from the hotel. The pool was nice and clean and the room was spacy with a big king size bed. Overall we were satisfied with our stay and can definitely recommend others to try it out. The only reason why I did not put 5 in my review is because the hotel is a bit old and the bathrooms would be better if they were refreshed a bit.
This is the only hotel in 2 trips throughout asia over the last 2 years that I have rated 3 stars. It is either a 1 or 5. This place doesnt deserve a 1 but we were sold that it was a 4star. It so isnt 4 stars. Pool is awesome food for breakfast is the same as all buffets. Building is tired and this is the only place in 4 weeks of travel where the staff are not happy. Front counter is ok but everyone else are bordering rude. Except the porter. He needs to teach everyone else how to smile. If you go there expecting 3 stars you will be happy. May of just caught everyone on a bad day.
The hotel is situated in an area with not so may restaurants and bars. The lobby looks very very good but the rest would need some renovation. We had some issues with our room, there was mould around the corners and it smelled bad also. We changed the room after 1 night and the second room was better. The staff was friendly but didn't speak English very well, however we managed to communicate. The WiFi connection was bad.
It was nice experience staying Juliana. Good breakfast. I stayed 2nights. Check in was easy. Friendly staff. Overall was good. Swimming pool was good and clean.in room Wi-Fi was not good.I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
Our first impression was positive as the lobby was spacious and stylish. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel looked rather tired and unloved. Breakfast was uninspiring. Someone trying urgently trying to get hold of us was told we hadn't arrived twice after we had checked in. We got the impression the staff had little training or motivation to enhance guest's stay. The location was not very tourist friendly but maybe ok for business people.
The hotel is located centrally but has started showing its age. The size of doors and high ceiling gives contemporary look. The room are small, bedding is not that comfortable as per 4 star. Breakfast is Usual. Service is slow and no smiles on thier faces. We had to change the room as the view was in somebody's home. The other room needed cleaning the phone work intermittently.
Juliana Hotel is in a lovely, airy colonial-style building, with a nice pool, clean rooms with comfortable beds, and standard hotel amenities. The staff are helpful and kind, and provided good service. Convenient location near Riverside and Central Market and many other attractions.
Easy to get there from airport, Nice and clean room, bed comfortable, breakfast was good, pool was lovely and clean. Bar service was a little slow in lobby We would stay there again, no noise, staff very friendly.
Not impressed with this hotel. Our room was functional. bathroom good and ac worked. However the hotel was tired. staff not very friendly, The big plus is the large pool.. Reception were very poor, No info on tours etc. Location is too far from restaurants and tourist spots, Gave up on room delivery of e.g. ice and very expensive for snacks etc. Choose a room on high floor as no ac on lower corridor, Breakfast adequate but cleanliness a factor,
Our driver had been to this hotel before and remembered how to get there thru the Phnom Penh traffic, which can be daunting. The final step involved a quick jog the wrong way on a one way street before turning into the lane leading to the hotel. Once there, we found it a nice experience. The room were spacious and well appointed, with international channels available on the TV and good Wi-Fi. The Vanda restaurant offers buffet meals for dinner and breakfast, and both had many nice choices. We used the transport arranged by the hotel to get to the airport, about 6 km away. The staff was friendly and spoke excellent English. I notice that other reviewers were unhappy with the service, but we found it excellent. The pool is clean and inviting, with tables where you can eat. I'm not sure what the rule "Swimsuits are required" was intended to mean, but I didn't see anyone evading that notice. This was the last stop before leaving Cambodia after two weeks and were were happy to end our trip at such a lovely establishment.
