Located close to the Railway Station & Market this hotel is dirty & poorly built. Seats in the foyer are dirty & this should have been my alert not to stay here. On arrival the staff were not friendly or very helpful & when l entered my room l was shocked at the poor condition it was in. All the walls had stains & marks on them, only one power point in the room. The view from my window was depressing! The pool area is small & not clean & is not an enjoyable to relax in. I would prefer to sleep in a park under a tree than stay in this hotel.
Hotel itself pretty average, and slightly overpriced but I get really angry when a hotel shows a drinks menu in Thai and the same menu at a much more expensive price in English.i would not stay here again on principle
The room I had was in pretty bad shape. I can't believe this hotel is a couple of years old?! At least the room was clean, and I only stayed here for one day... thank goodness. The location of this hotel is not ideal. So I can't honestly recommend this hotel.
The 'one way' traffic systems in the general area of the hotel, particularly when arriving by car from the east, does mean that it is not the easiest place to find. However, once there all aspects of the hotel itself are good and represented good value. For anyone preferring to spend their evenings away from the hotel, there is a pretty good bar just around the corner (approx. 200 metres) called "Woodstock".
Our second visit since januari 2014. We stayed 1 night and used this hotel as an overnight stopover between Bangkok and Sukhothai. I’ve made my reservation 5 months in advance and got a cancelable rate of 1200bt (30€) for a standard double room, taxes and breakfast for 2 included (450bt cheaper than 3 years ago). Hotel was built in 2012, 5 floors, 80 rooms (only on 3 highest floors). 1 elevator and large open staircase. Free large onsite parking. Located only 350m from railway station over a footbridge and 1,3km from old busstation. Our flashy room on the 5th floor was medium large (6.5x3.9m=26m², including bathroom), comfortable, clean, and quiet at night. tiled floor. Excellent bed (relatively hard but good for me) and clean sheets, 1 pillow/pp. Good but not so silent airco , flatscreen TV. Bathroom was adequate and clean, includes a small rainshower, toiletries provided, NO electricity outlet for my shaver. Complimentary : Wifi (not always reliable), coffee, mini fridge. Modern lounge, bar and restaurant. Fine lobby, little English spoken; to reach the lobby you have to climb 17 steps with your luggage... not obvious for older people, this is really a design mistake. Buffet breakfast was good, asian and western food, egg station, and fresh milk for your coffee. On other side of the street you’ll find the best restaurant of Pilok : Ban Mai. Swimming pool area is rather small and squeezed between a wall and the main building. Pool size : 12m x 4m, Extra : large jacuzzi and small stone garden ... a place to refresh yourself but not to hang out. Conclussion : We stayed already 8 times in Phitsanulok. In my opinion, Ayara Grand is the best “value for money” hotel in Pilok. Slightly better but a little bit more expensive (+25%) is the older Topland hotel (but mind the loud and late disco) and best of all : Yodia Heritage (but 2,5x more expensive).
We stay for 1 night for a stop from travelling, room 406 is well decorated including baht room amenities, but not provided a hair dryer in the room that is what I would like to comment. Over all is very good services, including variety of breakfasts, nice , helpful and friendly staffs. A large parking lot for guest's car. But it located a bit from down town, so a ten or twenty minutes walking distance. The atmosphere is so quite that is good for sleep.
The hotel is only a couple of years old but it is already looking a bit tired. Our rooms had dirty lampshades, dodgy electrics and some rather worn looking furniture. It's an ok hotel but not great. If we are in this area again we won't use this hotel. I much prefer the smaller hotels with better service. The hotel often has conferences or tour groups staying over which is no-no for me when picking a hotel. Unfortunately there is not much choice if you need to stay in Phitsanulok town. The only plus point for the hotel is that it is situated directly opposite the best restaurant in town!
This hotel is isolated and you need personal transportation to go to the tourist attraction. The room is ok for the price paid. Swimming pool is dirty. Breakfast is ok for this type of hotel. There is a popular restaurant across the street called Ban Mai which offers delicious Thai food.
Good location close to the station and Ban Mai restaurant. Good breakfast buffet and pool, the rooms were clean and spacious. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Sergeant Major Thawee Folklore Museum and the Buddha Casting Factory - both worth a visit.
The place is in town close to the most famous temple in Phitsanulok. It also located close to Ban Mai Restaurant which is a good restaurant. The hotel room is clean and comfortable.Breakfast buffet is delicious. One concern is that the bathroom is covered by louver which can be easily exposed to the people in the room. Overall is a good place to stay with the acceptable price.
