While our family stay was overall OK and the apartment was clean, the building is not exactly well kempt. Our sleep wasn’t that good on our first night — a really heated argument broke out in the middle of the night, below in the bar. And whilst the apartment’s decor is truly unique, it was also pretty tight for a family of five. Perhaps more pictures depicting the space could give a better idea to future guests.

We enjoyed our one-night stay here. It was very clean and comfortable. The pillows on the beds were plush. The sheets were soft. The towels were fluffy. The kitchen has the basics for eating simple meals. We were very comfortable, and our needs were met. The only downside for us was that it's in a noisy neighborhood. But that's to be expected because it's in central Philly. Just be aware that you can hear a lot of traffic, garbage trucks, and people coming out of the bar below late at night. Wear some earplugs, and you'll be fine. Great place to stay with lots of restaurants within walking distance. We parked in a nearby lot overnight and paid about 40 for that.

This space is LOVELY! However, I had to give my review for “cleanliness” 2/3 stars because there was no cleanup from the previous stay prior to my check-in. (I.e. used towels, leftover trash, beds not made, etc.) I definitely do want to give this property another chance as the location, interior, etc. are all gorgeous and the hosts were responsive. I didn’t want to cause any trouble during my stay since it was just me and there were some extra clean towels and one of the beds hadn’t been slept in. I was hardly there. (Also, I know this is located in quite an old building but the water pressure in the shower is quite light—more of a nit-picky thing from me.) I believe this is also a new listing so I’m willing to give some grace to the new hosts, for sure. Their space is beautiful and the next time I’m in Philly I will give this listing another try.

It was a fun location and the Murphy bed and queen over king beds were well done.
