It's hard to see how this property has received so many 10/10 ratings. This is a 6/10 at best.The host was pleasant and responsive to messages. But the property itself has many issues that made it difficult to fully enjoy.The outside and inside are very dated. This does not show in the pictures. If you're looking for a cozy, updated, welcoming place to stay, unfortunately, this is not it.The property was not very clean. The second bathroom was especially dirty. The cupboards in that room haven't been cleaned in years.There was a musty smell throughout, which is why they leave Febreeze in most of the rooms.The most surprising issue was the stale food left for us. All of the food left in a gift basket for us (chips, popcorn, crackers, soft drinks) were all expired. There were also two containers of coffee in the kitchen cupboard that were both nearly two years past their expiration date. One was caked solid.The master bed (king) was nice and comfortable and the master shower itself was new and very nice.In our opinion, after a five night stay, this property needs a lot of updating and cleaning to be anything like an 8-10/10.
