I can only say perfect ! People who work there are always smiling and helpful, Rooms clean and modern , The service perfect ! The most beautiful honeymoon ! Thank you very much for everything ! I recommend it to everyone :)
Our last night of four at this Ramada resort in Khao Lak. So friendly, great hospitality and in such a lovely old fashioned holiday town in Thailand. Been travelling to Thailand for over 20years and it’s been so lovely finding a town that replicates Thailand of the past! Will definitely return! :)
This is one of the best run hotels we have ever stayed in. The customer service was first class and we were made to feel so welcome that we didn't want to leave! The situation is perfect, on a beautiful stretch of beach and only a five minute walk into town (where you can find lots of really nice bars, restaurants and shops) There is a taxi rank just 50 yards from the front entrance and the taxi drivers seemed nice and prices very reasonable. The design of the hotel is really nice, only 116 rooms (3 storeys) situated around a beautiful lawn which leads to the swimming pool. This leads directly to the beach. Some sunbeds are round the pool terrace and some on the sand. Plenty of shade from beautiful tall palm trees. There were always beds available, and the boys that worked around the pool, providing towels and serving at the pool bar were so helpful. We took advantage of the happy hour each day 4-6pm when all cocktails and spirits were 2 for 1. I would get myself 2 G&Ts at 5.45pm and sit and watch the sunset, which was beautiful! We paid for an upgrade and had a newly refurbished room which was lovely. Great shower and comfy beds. Great maid service, and a lovely touch was that every night the maid would leave a little bowl of snacks and a laminated 'quote of the day' I really looked forward to that! Breakfast was plentiful and really high standard. So much choice and always a huge selection of fresh fruits, juices, breads, cakes, hot buffet, egg station etc.. As you arrived at breakfast, you were greeted with a shot glass of 'fresh fruit smoothie' (something different every day - they were delicious) and then would be shown to your seat.. We used the Spa three times and recommend it highly. We went between 10 and 1 when they had special deals, and although it was still more pricey than the shops in town, it was pure LUXURY and a wonderful relaxing experience. Our favourite was the 2 hour Coconut scrub, wrap and massage. It was heaven. Thankyou so much to all the girls working in the Spa, especially Sim, who we had several times. We stayed over Christmas and New Year and were absolutely blown away with the efforts that the hotel went to in organising celebration evenings for Christmas Eve and New years Eve. Christmas eve was at an extra cost, but was fantastic value for money and included an incredible buffet and entertainment by the staff (who all entered into the spirit of things wholeheartedly and with enthusiasm that was infectious) Too many things to mention, but it was so well planned and organised, and the whole evening was very special. A photographer was taking pictures and room numbers. We expected to be sold the photos at a later date - but the next morning, a beautiful card arrived in our room, with Christmas Greetings and our photo... What a lovely touch. New Years Eve was included for all guests and took place on the beach. Again, no expense seemed to be spared, from amazing welcome cocktails, to the most incredible buffet, entertainment and fireworks at midnight. It was a night I shall remember forever. If you are looking for a personal hotel in a great location, and with superb customer service you won't be disappointed with The Ramada. The staff are wonderful. We would like to thank them all, but special names to mention are: Mille and Bow on reception (nothing was too much trouble) Aon, Air (aptly named, as she seemed to be everywhere!) Pare and Toh. The manager Jakub? (sorry if that is spelt wrong) is very 'present' and we saw him most days wandering around and mingling with staff and guests. He was very approachable and is clearly doing a great job. Thank you. If ever we come back to Khao Lak, we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else!
We recently traveled as a large family to Ramada Khao Lak. We love the pool and beach, but the absolute best part of the hotel is the fantastically friendly and helpful employees. Absolutely everyone there welcomes you with a smile and a "sawadee kaa / kapp". We received the utmost of service every single day for two weeks. We had a baby with us and they absolutely adored him. We would say the down sides are that we stayed in a room that has not yet been renovated and it is needed. Nonetheless, the housecleaning was great and it was always clean. The bathroom was esp a little tired, a little too humid and old for my taste. We assume that the hotel will be renovating all the rooms in the coming months/years so this is probably a non issue. Besides, most of your time is spent outside or in one of the restuarants or cafe so it is ok. Also, we would like to just leave a detailed comment regarding the new years party which is that it was sad to lose the view from thursday - sunday night and the beach chairs on sunday. We all thought the xmas eve party was more intimate, perhaps consider having both parties on the lawn so that the beach doesn't get taken "away". The grounds are fabulous and the pool and beach are so peaceful. We loved the atmosphere here. You get elegant but not overkill hotel, its peacefulness and zen-simple place is wonderful for a sun vacation with family and kids. We would like to give a particular shout out to the POOL TEAM and the great guys there who dealt with us every day. Also, the servers at Sassis and breakfast, and all of the receptionists were so kind to us with our baby - thank you thank you thank you. The staff here will literally accommodate your every need. We will miss happy hour on the beach and the amazing sunsets.
We liked the staff and the location the most. Our room looked a bit dated and also dull and under-decorated. There was a painting on one of the walls, which was ugly. Breakfast was mostly the same western food every day and lacked variety and Thai options. There were many activities organized during our stay, although they'd better organized a beach cleaning too. The sea brings quite some rubbish on the shore.
Excellent location, easy access to ’down town’. The place to be if you are looking for a traditional beach hols. Breakfast is superb and nothing missing…. The restaurant offers various themes for every day – we enjoyed the Thai tasting menu. The staff at the pool bar were fantastic, always looking after you; although the service could be improved if the staff on a proactive basis approached you and offering you something to drink – believe me, you could easily double your turnover…. One observation crucial if you are requesting airport transfer(s) – unfortunately, after having traveled for 12 hours and just looking forward to get to the hotel, we had to wait for the airport transfer for another 30 minutes (not good!). Also, having requested airport transfer for our return flight (scheduled to leave the hotel at 5:45) no driver as booked! Ie had to await the driver for another 30 minutes (hotel had to call the driver and wake him up!!!) – this definitely has to be better especially considering the extra cost to an alternative transport (read; local one).
We stayed 5 days in the Ramada Khao Lak hotel and loved it. It is a very well run hotel. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and cater for all kind of taste. The swimming pool is great and has direct access to the beach with plenty of sun beds. The staff were lovely as well We only had a problem on check out. Apparently one of the laundry bags from our room was missing. Although we didn't think we had put it in our cases by mistake, we decided to pay the 200 baths better than to unravel our luggage when we had to catch a flight. When we had to chance to check it, we didn't have the missing bag ... never mind
This holiday has to be one of the best we’ve ever had, and it was the Thai people who made it that way. Nothing was too much trouble for them, being eager to please no matter what. All of the hotel staff bent over backwards to please us, and were very happy and friendly. The hotel was very clean, the the food was excellent, the pool and grounds very neat, tidy and pleasing to the eye. There were plenty of sun beds, the beach was clean and the water inviting. We had a great time and would return if the opportunity arose. The tsunami museum is a must, just to see what these people suffered in 2004. Thanks go to all Thai people, especially the lovely hotel staff for their hospitality. We will miss you all.
Our second stay at The Ramada Khao Lak, and once again the hotel has exceeded our expectations. If you want a beach-front hotel in Khao Lak, I highly recommend The Ramada. We returned to the Ramada and Khao Lak because we enjoyed our first stay so much. Essentially the same hotel with a few minor improvements, such as more sun beds close to the beach. But it is the staff which really give the hotel its commendation, every member of staff is outstanding and I very much feel the customer focus of the hotel and its staff at all times. No problem too big or small to sort out for you. The grounds and beach location were equally big attractions to return here, sunbeds right onto the beach and the grounds are beautiful and encourage a relaxing low-key stay. The hotel is less than a minutes walk to shops, laundry, decent bars and restaurants - everything needed for a cheap and easy stay. I'd say less than a ten minute walk to Bang Niang Market, but only 150THB for a taxi ride one-way. Shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance, and a taxi (usually waiting and parked just outside the hotel) if you want to go further afield. We also booked our Temple trip through the hotel and can say it was exactly the same price per person than one of the tour operators based outside the hotel. Breakfast is buffet style, varied, well presented and of good quality. Everything offered from danish, cakes, bread rolls, cereals, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, pancakes and waffle station. Breakfast also offered hot foods, in addition to choice of egg made to order, plus soups, rice and noodle dishes. Variety of freshly made smoothies and juices in addition to plentiful refills of tea and coffee. The Mellow Bean coffee shop is adjacent and you may order a fresh espresso coffee if desired for no extra cost. You are pleasantly greeted on arrival with a freshly made juice and escorted to a table of your choice. The terrace was our preference but they also have tables inside and sometimes on the lawn. Sunbeds are not allowed to be reserved, which is a thoughtful touch, and again you are greeted every morning, for you to choose your sunbed and they will organise your beds and umbrella for you. Happy hour is 4-6pm at the pool bar (2for1) and then again 9-10pm in Sassi's Bar in the evening. The rooms are super comfortable. The bed is firm. You can also order extra pillows for different types of comfort and support. They allowed us a late check out at no extra charge but they were clear to advise that it was dependent on arrivals etc and we didn't know until the day before leaving. Whilst not a non-smoking hotel, they had smoking areas for those who smoke. I'm sure I shall be returning here again in the future. They were getting ready for Christmas and New Year parties and, who knows, I may just return here for a new year party in the future. Thanks to all the Ramada staff for an outstanding stay and holiday.
Ramada Khao Lak offered an impeccable service with almost every staff greeting us warmly whenever they see us. The room and resort are very well maintained and kept very clean. Food in the resort's restaurant, Sassi is also very good.
