We had scouted this hotel from a previous visit to Khao Lak walking along the beach and thought it looked amazing. 3 months later the we found a room rate that seemed incredibly cheap for the location and thought we would give it a try. Good Points: Good Breakfast Buffet Absolute beach front location Excellent Hot Water Showers in the room Receptive to constructive feedback Not So Good: Housekeeping needs a little work Facilities, ie. our plastic toilet seat had some unsavoury staining... considering how cheaply you can replace a plastic toilet seat, it shows neglect No food service during the day only a bar that does not serve coffee Wifi was way too sketchy for 2017 standards (making video calls was a big fail) Service standards needs improving particularly English comprehension and follow through on requests Summary, we booked on a surprisingly low rate however felt we got what we paid for. If we’d paid normal rates we would have been very disappointed.
hotel beach frot freshing up me and my friends. we chatting in room and after rain we walk along the beach swimming laughing This hotel made us impressed. Clean, quiet, good food especially Indian food.
New team manage now this very nice hotel - sharming bungalow Greek style with private swiming pool - service quality at top with pro-people! Bar and swimingpool just near the sea. prices relativelly reasonable from 2800 bats to 4000 bats in low season. 10mn to town center walking away.
Fantastic location , right on the beach , nearest beach bars a few minutes walk . Town centre only about ten minutes walk away . Staff were fantastic , couldnt do enough for you . Breakfast was excellent .Lovely quiet pool area , sunbeds available everytime we went there .
I have read quite a few reviews on TripAdvisor about Ocean Breeze Resort, and my expectations were exceeded greatly on arrival. From the friendly arrival greeting, the refreshing purple welcome drink to the nice early check in (thank you so much - we travelled 30 hours to get here) ... I just could not fault the Resort at all. The staff try their best, they are friendly - keep smiling, just love it - and will go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The pool area is lovely - especially at night when all lit up. The sun loungers around the pool is super comfortable. There are more than enough sun loungers on the beach, and I was very impressed with the signage indicating that lounge reservations are not allowed. Well done there - hate it when people do that at hotels. Breakfast is standard. The breakfast area is very clean, air-conditioned and the food is good. The hotel is within walking distance to many surrounding restaurants an a 5- 10 minute walk to the main road with all it's diving offices, travel agencies and restaurants & shops. I will most certainly recommend Ocean Breeze Resort and look forward to visit again in the near future should my travels bring me to Khao Lak.
Visited this place at the beach. Looked great outside with azure blue flags. One sprite cost 80 baht - anywhere else maximum 40 baht. Hey, that's called rip off. Perfect spot on the beach thought. Won't come back.
I spent a week here in December 2016 and was very pleased with the rooms and the food. Great, friendly staff always took good care of me and my room. If you don't want to go in the ocean, there is a relaxing pool.
The room is nice but the cleaner does not always do the best of job. Internet is not working properly and staff does not speak English. Breakfast is average with not too much choice. Electricity was cut out for 4 times on one of the day. We have no electricity nearly all day. You would think hotel will provide touch light or complimentary drink or letter but there isn't any. Getting wifi in the hotel is a challenge. They could improve on their internet connection. Beautiful beach, quiet and private tho. Easy access to the town centre. I like the restaurant right next to the beach chair and it is so comfortable to sit on. The scenery is very pretty and breathtaking. One of my favourite beach. If you like a good view on the beach. This is the place for you.
Disclaimer: Based on what I think what Santorini looks like based on photos from the web. Never been there before. And this is our first time trying out a nice resort out of the country :) The row of white houses and buildings with aquamarine/blue accents does make it look like Santorini. The service was great. The food was relatively pricey (compared to restaurants on the main street) but this was expected for a resort. The staff were very warm and helpful. The main pool was smaller than I expected but they had another pool in front of the beach front villas but never tried swimming in it. I also liked how they were well connected to tours outside. They gave my parents a breakfast box knowing they will be picked up early for a Similan day tour and couldn't make it to the breakfast buffet. I didn't know this was possible because I didn't get one for when I was also picked up early for a dive trip with Khao Lak Fun Divers. No big deal. The New Year Gala dinner was a little weird. Music wasn't so good. Program was OK. The emcees were trying their best with their English but sometimes it was hard to understand. The food selection for the buffet was awesome! All in all, the gala may not be worth the price but we really enjoyed the fireworks and the launching of paper lanterns at 12MN. That was very memorable! :) We booked one superior room on Agoda and booked for extra person with extra bed. The extra "bed" just turned out to be a really large sofa built into the wall. It did have enough pillows and was large enough for me to sleep and turn in but I wouldn't count that as a bed. I am low maintenance when it comes to sleeping so I didn't make a big deal out of it but it wasn't what I expected. There was also no door to the toilet. That was a surprise. They had a lot of wifi networks which was cool. I think I saw over 10 wifi networks. Coverage was good. But the connection was really slow. Especially when inside the rooms. My roaming mobile data connection was faster when inside the room. We were happy with the whole stay at Ocean Breeze but we feel we paid too much for that.
Went for dinner. By Thai standards expensive. A disappointing meal. Their definition of fresh fish and mine different (theirs was in a boil bag, mine actually looks like a fish!) Nice spot on the beach tho. There's better food available on the vicinity.
