We were staying there because my mom was having knee surgery. I requested (twice) a room as close as I could get. They put us on the 2nd floor, down the hall. There was a bed bug on the bathroom floor this morning. Never! Again!

The location was perfect for the wedding we were attending. Within a few miles. This hotel just needs a lot of updating especially for the price. Everything— the shower, the beds, the cabinet for clothes, the towels,etc.were very old and worn. For $200 a night, it should be much better. Staff were great. Liked complimentary water. Seemed to be enough parking.

For almost $200 a night my expectations were a little higher. While the room was not dirty, it didn't feel clean. Just an older hotel, but just didn't feel it was worth the money. We actually left one night early because my daughter has anxiety about cleanliness, so we just drove home thru the night rather than stay.

Rock hounding Aug. 25

My husband and I reserved the patio suite and I am so happy we did. It made it so much easier for him to take his service dog (75 lbs) outside. We were there the last week of Aug and I spent hours sitting outside on the patio reading/drinking. Lounge chairs provided. There are 4-5 tables and chairs in the courtyard where our patio rm was located. All grassy area except some flagstones in the center. I never saw another guest outside in the courtyard so it was like we had the place to ourselves. Breakfast has a good variety. The hotel could use a little sprucing up. It is showing some wear and tear but hasn't reached "dated" just yet. We were comfortable, felt safe and the place was very clean.
The rocks are only around the edge of the patio/building.

The staff was very helpful and nice. The overall place is very outdated there is smells of must in the halls and elevators. The elevators need updated inspections it expired in march of 2025. We only had sheets no blankets in our room.

Hot hot Tub

Our over night was awesome! We stopped in Charlevoix in hopes of seeing Aurora Borealis and at check in the young man told me exactly where to possibly see them! It was awesome!
