The staff is friendly and very accommodating and the location is outstanding!
Our first impressions of the Esplanade were great. We arrived at around noon (2 hours before checkin begins) and asked to store our luggage. The kind and polite staff instead offered to check us in early, which was surprising and great! Unfortunately, once we made our way up to the room we were less than impressed. I actually liked the decor of the room, as I tend to like the older charm over Holiday Inn cookie-cutter decor. However the shower needed a deep cleaning and the bed was hands-down the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on (and I go camping on a thin sleeping pad a lot!). Other guests have mentioned that the bathrooms were small and it was noisy at night. We didn't experience either of these issues - our bathroom was quite loud and noise wasn't a problem after 10 PM or so.
