Grand Hotel Vittoria

Vittoria hotel is in a great location for the beach and the town. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great. One of the oldest hotels in the area going by the old black and white photos on the wall. The reviews about the damp damage in the bedrooms and dining room are correct but the rooms are clean, comfy, spacious and have character. Would happily stay there again. Not sure how much the rooms are as stayed in the hotel as part of a group booking for the MotoGP weekend.

We had a fantastic time at the Vittoria. It's right on the beach and in the mid of a lively square where there was family entertainment most nights and a great night market. It also has its own pool if you want a quieter area away from the beach which is just a stones throw away. We were able to park in the side street as the hotel gave us a permit. The area is beautiful and will be even nicer when they remove or renovate the blot on the landscape behind it which is a seemingly derelict apparent bet block. We enjoyed the history and visited Rossini's house and the Palazzo Mosca in the old town as well as visiting beautiful Urbino and the Palazzo Ducale. We also visited San Marino and Coriano for the Simoncelli Museum. We had fantastic meals in Cozza Amara, Lo Scudiero and Nostrano di Stefano Ciotti during our stay. Our son wanted to visit Tavullia the home of Valentino Rossi and having tracked down the Motor Ranch (after visiting everything in the main village) we were stunned when the man himself turned up! We will come back to go to Fano as we didn't even get there or Ancona

We booked accommodation at the Savoy Hotel which is owned by the same owners as the Vittoria. We were telephoned on the morning of the day of our arrival and were told that there was "a problem with the room" at the Savoy and that we would be transferred to the Victoria which would be better because it is "5 star". There are other reviews on TripAdvisor which indicate that this has been done before. I wonder why. No further explanation was given as to the "problem with the room" at the Savoy. I do not know by what criteria the Vittoria boasts 5 stars. If this is 5 star accommodation, what is 4 star and what is 3 star? The bedroom was adequate for a couple but it was nothing better than one finds in an average 4 star or good 3 star hotel. The bathroom has a bath which was so high that anyone with any mobility problems or infirmity would find it extremely difficult if not impossible to get into or out of safely. It is usual in a hot climate for there to be a complimentary bottle of mineral water in the bedroom. This is not provided at the Vittoria but you can buy a bottle from the minibar at a cost which is almost three times what you would pay in the local shops. Parking is free, if you can find a place, but it is on the street and totally insecure. The breakfast is in my view grossly overpriced at 16 euros per person for a very ordinary continental buffet style breakfast. The hotel is quite close to the seafront and to the nighttime entertainment. Loud music from that area was very intrusive until midnight, despite two sets of double glazed windows. The hotel is architecturally attractive but is situated next to a tower block which is derelict and appears to be ready for demolition. Overall, this was a disappointing experience and most definitely overpriced. We have stayed at better hotels in many places, including London, for less than at the Vittoria. Its redeeming features are its somewhat old world charm and the friendly and helpful staff at reception but even those will not persuade me to return.

The most charming and personal hotel I have stayed in during this road trip (2 weeks and several hotels so far). Cute attention to detail and perfect antidote to faceless 5 star "international" chains. Quirky Belle Époque style, best breakfast in two weeks and a reminder of what makes Italy truly special. (I believe 4th floor is best) Just wish could stay more than one night.

Waitress was unpleasant my starter arrived after my main course my vodka and tonic was warm and they couldn't be bothered to include ice. It was a very hot day 19 euro advertised for a whole fish (Orata) with mini tomatoes, olives and potatoes, you only got a fillet (which is approx 1 quarter of the fish and it was dry on the outside) 1 tiny tomato and pieces of about 1 olive. We had to remind them to bring the potatoes. We complained about this but did not feel they took this well! Other parts of the meal was OK but would not recommend even though it rates itself as 5 star

Fantastic place to base yourself for a central beach stay in pesaro. The location, pool and lounging facilities were amazing! Rooms were clean and excellent. Baths were difficult to get in and out of (height wise) so wouldn't recommend for those with mobility concerns. Staff however were excellent and full of lots of character!

Remember the tv show Fawlty Towers? Well, we found it in Pesaro.... The first night (of three) was spent in a tiny little room on the top floor. We hade made reservations for 2 adults and 2 children (10&12Y) and the hotel told us that the room was small since it was only for three guests (?!?). Day two they gave us a new suit on the third floor which was more in line with our expectations. Katarina, who worked in the reception as well as other functions, was extremely service minded and helpful. She deserves a job in a real five star hotel, because the Grand Hotel Vitoria is not a five star hotel. Other staff, especially in the restaurant and bar (well, usually the bar was tended by the reception) were not helpful at all. Impossible to get a sandwich after breakfast and before lunch.... No poolside service. And what ever you do: do NOT eat in the restaurant for lunch or dinner. Horrible!!!! Breakfast was ok. Management really needs to think things trough if they want the hotel to be perceived as a five star hotel.

Loved this hotel, clean quiet and friendly staff. The room was amazing with three large windows looking onto the pool area and out to sea. The seaside town of Pesaro was gorgeous with lots of great bars and restaurants. Lovely beach. Would definitely visit again.

Comfortable room, with good air conditioning, just steps from the beach. Pool area was nice as well. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Free parking right outside the hotel. We would happily return. One small issue is that the wi-fi signal was not very strong.

This restaurant is one of the best sea food restaurt i have ever been. Offer a HYPER FRESH quality food for lunch. I was there for few days and really I regret a lot for not discovering this restaurant earlier. It is a little expensive though, but Hey! This is what I call restaurant!!
