No good Wifi WiFi WiFi help WiFi help i have traveled all over the country and stayed in many different accommodation for work and this place had the worst WiFi I have had to deal with. Why do I need to have 200 works if that’s all I need to say. Bad review option for this site also.
This hotel has heaps of potential - great location!....but disappointing! Bathroom needs a good scrub not clean and there was an odour throughout the room that was really unpleasant. This is the second time we have stayed there where the standard was poor. All our clothes have had to be rewashed as they stank! Will be asking for a super clean room next time and if not up to scratch they will be relocating us to a room that is!
Here is part of my complaint letter that so far has had no response, 1 month later: Dear Management, Alderney on Hay Apartments, I wish to provide feedback and complaint about my recent stay in room 10 while travelling on business. I checked in on 20 Aug 19 and checked out on 2 Sep 19. The cost of the room was close to $1,800 for the duration. I have numerous concerns you should be aware of and rectify for future guests, as follows: 1. The room was dusty and unclean, to the point where I was sneezing constantly when I entered the apartment. During my stay, I did not have even a single decent night of sleep. 2. The toilet did not flush properly. 3. The shower head was so clogged with calcification that it did not operate correctly. The shower was inadequate. 4. For the first 4 days/night of my stay, a loud buzzing noise was shaking the walls and setting up audio standing waves in the apartment. The source of this seems to have been a faulty light in the carpark. I didn't sleep much due to this. 5. The “HD ready” television did not receive HD TV. Many channels were not available. 6. The apartment door did not close and lock properly. Several times I returned to the apartment and found the door not properly closed. 7. The apartment was serviced only once during our stay. For a “fully serviced” apartment, this is well below my expectation as a guest. 8. The Wifi supplied was so slow it is not worth using at all. It regularly reported download speed of never more than 1Mbps, and the upload speed did not even register. This renders your Wifi service almost completely useless, and not even adequate to send or receive text-only emails. 9. Parking clamp: (I have paraphrased this bit) They run a scam at the hotel where your car can get clamped if you park in the underground carpark. Beware, there are no signs and it's not explicitly stated anywhere. If you park there outside of reception hours (which are the shortest of any hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world) you can't get a parking permit. Management were abusive and hostile during the handling of this matter, which cost me personally $170 to get the car unclamped (an external clamping company is used). Don't stay here. Even the receptionist said she couldn't believe the place was still in business after all the complaints they get.
If you are after a HOTEL, well this is NOT a hotel. Advertised in most of hotel sites as a hotel but its is not a hotel. You can only check in during certain limited hours, and outside of this hours you have to make most effort to do a proper check in. After daylight hours, guest can not use main entrance, you have to go to the car park and side entrance. I never find a hotel at this rating has a policy to close the main lobby and door and no reception after hours. Facilities are available, minimal maintenance, great for family looking for no frills facilities , but i would not call this 4 stars hotel. There are more 3 stars facilities in this great city of Perth. Service? I think enough people says about their services quality in other reviews.
Will not be staying at this property in future. Paying a deposit and signing a lease even for a couple of nights stay is not on. All kitchen ware must be washed and replaced, all rubbish must be removed from the room and then you wait a few days for your deposit to be refunded. Reception unhelpful and tried to overcharge.
Got “greeted” by the most unhelpful man. You know the kind that go out of their way to NOT answer your question and are condescending? One of those. The room itself was clean however it is in desperate need of a paint job, and hopefully all the same color. It looks like someone made an attempt to touch up some areas, but they used the wrong color paint. Not a shade or two... as in eggshell and khaki, it’s bad. And when the door frames were painted yet another color, they went onto the wall over an inch in some areas. Also the kitchen table was thrashed. Beds were very firm. I don’t mind that so much, but if you want soft and squishy, this isn’t the place for you. I didn’t feel the need to change hotels, but would try to stay somewhere else next time I’m in Perth.
This hotel needs to be shut down. They lack any sort of customer service, the way we were treated was so disgusting. I've never in my life been expirenced such poor customer service in my life. On day of checkout we asked to pay late checkout fee which they happily took our money for but didn't advise us that at 12pm our car would be tyre clamped and that we would need to pay 180 to unclamp it. The general manager is pathetic and could not make any decisons without running away. They told me we used the second bedroom which we didnt they just wanted more money from us. Our car was also damaged in there carpark. I've had to lodge complains with the ombudsman. The rooms are cheap and nasty they should be closed down for the way they steal money from people.
Id like to leave a fair review from my experience here recently. Firstly I think it should be noted that this hotel is priced on the lower side of the scale. I stayed here for 4 nights quite recently. Reception was lovely and professional, check in was easy. There are many FREE car parks available on the property and a parking permit is provided by reception. My room VERY big, bigger than my apartment in Sydney. Yes the furniture is outdated and could do with a refurnish. However it is very clean and well stocked for a fully furnished, self service hotel. My microwave was not functioning, reception replaced It immediately. All and all, I was very comfortable and happy here.
Free secured parking and indoor heated pool for the kids to enjoy. Walking distance to Optus stadium to watch best team ever, Freo beat the bulldogs. Apart from some eejits in the apartment above, everything is good. Small shop near the entrance for coffee and snacks. A bigger tv will be nice but, who watch tv on their holiday right?? Friendly helpful staff, will come again when up in Perth!
If you want to feel like staying at home in Perth this is the one for sure. The cleanliness and customer friendly service provided is of High standards! It has a convenience store in the Ground floor too.
