What a wonderful place to stay - the staff were amazing! We were within walking distance of everywhere and had no trouble finding our way around with a simple map given to us at the hotel. Beautiful building and rooms more than adequate.
A pleasant weekend away. Comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Parking is valet parking or street parking. Close to the markets and cafe strip with a park across the road for those that want the space for children to run or a gentle stroll.
This Hotel looks and feel expensive But when you consider the quality of their food , it's not too bad . For the rest of Freo though , the Markets ?? more like a food hall and elsewhere there is not much to see or do . As far as we are concerned , not going there again !
This was a pleasant place as a temporary home in Australia. The people in this hotels proved all the time that they really cared. The quality of the in room dining was high. General good Customer Orientation on all levels. They helped immediately also when I needed medical advice and organized the visit of a doctor in the hotel room for me. We liked the historic exterior. Nice photographies from Fremantle's history in restaurants and ground floor - but no decoration at all in the long gangways in higher floors. Nice palm trees at the pool. Close the Harbour and a nice beach. Would chose this place for a Perth trip again.
Yes, perhaps some of the finishings are a little dated, and the hotel doesn't have the razamataz of some of the newer trendier hotels around, but this was just perfect for our needs. Very well priced, clean, comfortable and relatively spacious room, check in and check out fast and effortless, friendly staff, beds very comfortable, great shower, fast wifi, and a quiet room was provided upon request. Of course the brilliant location goes without saying - easy walk to anywhere you need to go to in Fremantle. All day parking directly across the road for $11 (note this is till 1am, not for 24 hours, and you'll have to be up at 8am to feed the ticket machine). Only teensie tiny issue is that the sheets and quilt were tucked a long way down Into both beds which meant that they just didn't reach up high enough. We'll be back!
The Esplanade hotel is in a great location, a good starting point to explore Fremantle. Lots of food and drink options all around as well as entertainment, tourist things and train access etc. The hotel is beautiful and big. Check in unfortunately was incredibly slow with only 3 other people in the line. We arrived to a king bed room with 3 adults booked, which should be noted and queried by the hotel, however we were moved to a twin room with no problems. The beds are comfortable and the balcony leads right off to the pool and seating areas. The aircon was very weak, but luckily it was a cold night so we slept with the door open. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and fresh and offered a great variety. The option to juice your own fresh juice is great. The poppyseed muffins and eggs were my favorite. It's hard to find perfect eggs! We enjoyed our stay and Will definitely be back.
I arrived early and my room was ready the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The bed was comfy and checkout was easy. I would stay here again. It's close to Fremantle markets and surrounds for restaurants and shops.
The Esplanade is another iconic building in Fremantle situated on Marine Tce. Lunch menu is good but a trifle expensive value for money. But good nevertheless. Full range of alcoholic drinks as well, but again a bit pricey. Yes, it's worth a visit. .especially for couples who want to stay overnight. Good classy accommodation in the heart of Fremantle.
Have used this hotel a couple of times this year for work purposes. Works well for that purpose. Valet parking is a little steep in pricing $30.00 a night but convenient and prompt. Breakfast has a full array of foods but lacks change - still serving the same things as last couple of stays. Again full buffet priced a little steep. Corridors are long and musty - feels damp and in need of a paint job. Rooms are good - ask for a road facing. Beds are comfortable and room service is quick- meals ok. Location is good as based centrally and opposite a park. The room charger in my room didn't work but they didn't have a replacement one so i had to go and leave at reception to have my phone charged at 5.30 in the morning for 2 days. Would not recommend this hotel for young families
