Cozy, comfortable, and centrally located in the heart of Peoria. Minutes drive from downtown hospitals (OSF & Methodist), Caterpillar, Civic Center, Northwoods Mall, and Peoria Heights. Inside this cozy vintage-decorated home, you'll find everything to make your stay pleasant and serene. All bedrooms are equipped with new memory foam mattresses for a good nights' rest. Basement has bonus TV area with large sectional couch, foosball table, and Pacman arcade! Washer and Dryer too!

This is a quaint two-story home, complete with a basement. The main floor contains a living room, kitchen with a dining space, 2 bedrooms with Queen beds, and a full bathroom. The top floor contains a bonus space with work-station table and chairs, and a bedroom with a Queen bed. The theatre room, game space, and laundry are located in the basement.

Guests will have the entire house to themselves.

Guests will be provided a unique code to check-in through the electronic keypad. Please contact the host if you have any issues accessing the home.

There is a camera at the very front of the property to view who is at the front door. A camera is also on the side door. There are absolutely no cameras or recording devices inside the home.

There is absolutely NO SMOKING allowed. Smoking is classified as cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, cloves, etc. Violators are expected to pay a $300 penalty fee and may be subject to immediate eviction.

When booking, please ensure you include everyone in your reservation. Extra guests will be expected to pay a fee/night of stay.
No Smoking allowed inside the home. Violators will be fined $200, plus the cost of any damaged items caused by hot ash or flames.
Please be courteous to the neighbors and reduce noise levels (no loud music or shouting) between 10pm until 8am.

Location was good and neighborhood was quiet. We did find problems internally. Shades in bathroom were broken. No light fixture in bedroom, just bare bulb. Big hole in the wall in upstairs bedroom. Bugs inside house led to many bug bites.

When we arrived, the house was clean and I liked the updates and historic charm. However, the kids couldn’t use the basement (rec room) because there were a ton of mayflies flying around and lots of small ants by the couch (it had just rained and the basement window’s exterior isn’t properly sealed). Owner said he had someone come spray for bugs when we were out but it didn’t look like anyone did when we came back. It was also very hot upstairs (there is no a/c window unit). The owner never called me back when I asked to turn the air down, nor to discuss the hole we accidentally put in the wall (made of compact, crumbly wood/board). He did call back when I initially called him to let him know and he said “send photos”. Never heard from him again after that, even though I tried to contact him. Not a pleasant experience at all. Hopefully other people’s stay here has gone/does go better than ours did.

Upkeep issues

The property was fairly clean, however it is in need of some maintenance and TLC. The blinds in the bathroom were broken, the paint on the walls and trim is peeling and chipped, cupboard doors didn’t close properly, etc. You can tell the owner doesn’t ever stay there and it is purely a short term rental property. Plus there is no dishwasher, but they will charge you an additional cleaning fee (on top of the mandatory cleaning fee when you book) if you don’t hand wash all your dishes. This is not mentioned in the listing.

Beautiful Stay.

Overall stay was great. Checkin process was seamless with no issues! I’ve booked with this host multiple times, different houses & both the houses and host were great. House was nice, comfortable, & clean when arrived. Only thing is I could not figure out the AC/Heat system & there was no dustpan with the broom. They have a nice basement area & sleeping space. Definitely recommend to book with this host!

We were very happy with the house and with Matthew. Matthew was wonderful!!! The only thing we were unhappy about was that we had to clean the dishes. We didn’t have many dirty dishes; however, since we had to pay a cleaning fee, I think that we should not have had to clean the dishes.
