Lovely comfy cottage that whilst being in the village with all the conveniences within walking distance, still has the feeling of being remote. Lovely to hear the sound of the sea! It is close to the train track but that give us an issue as the trains could only be heard and not seen. Cleaning is done by an agency and after a busy summer season the property would benefit from a good deep clean. Generally clean though. Nice long beach walks close by, now all dog friendly. Tehidy not far for lovely off lead woodland walks.

Great base

Little rock was a great base for us whilst visiting the area to see family, it has everything we needed. The only issues were parking access, this is extremely tight due to parking or other cottages and a redundant gate post.

Little Rock

Enjoyed our 4 night stay, location was very good. Close to beach and local amenities. On the downside parking is extremely tight and difficult to access in and out Bed could be more comfy so soft, need bigger bath towels and bathroom very tight if you are a larger person due to door position we were ok but others might struggle

One word Perfect… cottage was perfect, beautiful and everything we wanted. Hosts Jo & Andy thought of everything including extra bowls for the dogs Location was great… could hear the sea from the garden… really lovely few days

Schöne Unterkunft in Cornwall, nicht weit zum Strand!

Super netter Empfang mit kulinarischen Souvenirs aus der Gegend. Toll! 5-10 min zum Strand. Sauber, schöner Strand. Frühs fast leer. Tolle Sicht zu St.Michael. Einrichtung sehr schön und maritim. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Parken ist durch die Enge herausfordernd aber machbar. Toilette erreichbar, wenn man durch das Schlafzimmer geht. Das war ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, da man doch wach wurde, wenn unser Sohn dorthin wollte. Ebenso ein bisschen klein, nur eine Person hat Platz.

A nice cottage, but not oerfect

This is a well equipped but quite small property, suitable for a couple with small children at the best, but ideal for us as a couple. Bed is very comfortable, as is the sofa and all furnishings are nice, although the hanging space in the wardrobe, is only for tall people 😂 oh and television could do with an upgrade. Overall we like the accommodation. The biggest flaw for us was the property is actually backing on to a pub garden, which had an outdoor screen with the football on it most evenings, we were there during the Euros, and also live music; as we are not football fans, or fans of heavy metal, it was a bit of a problem at times. Parking was also a bit of an issue, as you have to reverse into a narrow lane, that is off a busy road, this involves stopping the traffic at times, as it’s tricky reversing round the bins at the entrance to the lane, once navigated past the neighbours car, the parking space itself is ample. I now understand why previous reviews say they use public transport and leave the car at home!! I like the overall geographic position of this cottage, but I’m not sure I would stay here again, because of the parking and public house issues.

Getaway

Little Rock

Excellent property which is ideally placed as a base to visit SW Cornwall. The view of St Michaels Mount from the beach is beautiful and the walk to Marazion and or Penzance along the beach/path is well worthwhile. The property is very comfortable and warm and tastefully decorated making our 5 night stay perfect.

Gemütliches Cottage in zentraler Lage

Gemütliches Cottage mit viel Liebe zum Detail, Bahn in unmittelbarer Nähe, hat uns aber nicht gestört, Penzence gut zu Fuß zu erreichen und auch die Supermärkte. Sauberkeit könnte ein bisschen besser sein, da die Reinigung durch eine Firma durchgeführt wird und vom Vermieter scheinbar nicht kontrolliert wird. Würden dass Cottage aber auf jeden Fall noch mal buchen.

Lovely cosy little place with a lovely feel and had everything we needed. Bed and sofa were very comfy, bunk beds were a bit tight for an adult and the only bathroom is off of the main bedroom so more suited to a family than three adults. Very easy to find and parking was fine even in our truck (reverse in). It was a good base but walking from there was a bit limited due to having to cross A roads.

The most perfect Little Rock ♥️

We had the best long weekend at Little Rock. It’s in the most wonderful location. The property (even amongst Storm Ciaran) was so warm and inviting. I could’ve lived there! It was so nice to hear the waves at night and when it rained, it was like having the excitement of being camping, but the luxury of a solid roof 😄 The cottage has everything you’d need and we even had a welcome package (thank you!) that came in handy as forgot to buy loo roll 😄 Everything was lovely and clean and the Cornwall maps on the table were perfect to plan our first full day there. Jo and Andy were fantastic hosts, we had to delay our trip last minute due to illness, but they very kindly let us move our booking and it was worth every second of the wait to get there! The cottage is in a great location, with a bus stop right outside that takes you to Penzance or Marazion (and St Ives too) … I can’t wait to stay there again. We normally tend to stay in North Cornwall, but this makes the extra couple hours drive so worth it. You’ve got guests for life 😂 Thank you xx

Perfect home from home

Would recommend Little Rock to anyone with a small family who want to explore west Cornwall and have a great base. Just outside Penzance so not too busy but close to everything and good road links to everywhere. We were able to cook our own meals and do laundry which was really helpful being there for a whole week.

Nice little house near beach

We enjoyed our stay as we were lucky to get the hottest week in Cornwall :-) So we were able to have all our meals outside in the "garden". (In winter as well as on rainy days, the house might be a bit dark inside?!) Parking was easier than expected (even possible with a SUV). We were never distrubed by any noise caused by the nearby Mexican Inn! We didn´t miss anything in the house and were very happy with beds already made when we arrived. :-) Don´t forget to bring colours as everybody seems to leave a painted stone. :-)

Gorgeous cottage

A really high spec cottage in an ideal spot for the buses (we didn't use our car at all once we'd arrived). Great pub next door, handy for the beach and a nice stroll to Penzance or Marazion.
