Lovely cottage, and hosts. Nice surprise when we arrived, as it was my 50th whilst away, and hosts had placed a banner and balloons. Thank you. Clean and hot tub was treated twice during our stay. Fresh eggs available on site, and well located, three minutes to to beach (traffic permitting)

Wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage.
We booked this beautiful cottage and it did not disappoint. The cottage amazing and loved the hot tub. Bed really comfy and fab to sit in the sunny garden of an evening with a glass of wine.
The hosts were superb. Thank you.
Will definitely return.

Good location
Good location with access to a good bus service. 5 mins from supermarkets. Local pub, The White Hart is walkable to and does food. Would stay here again. Couple of minor issues relate to couple of table lamps broken and cob webs in rooms, although the accomodation felt clean. Kitchen well fitted out, minor issue with leaking tap on kitchen sink. The accomodation is good and the location is good.
We stayed for six nights, unfortunately we were both sick for the duration so didn’t go out as much as we thought we would, we had a problem with the front door which they sorted out as a priority. You re on the A30 so it’s easy to find and there isn’t much noise from the road, the bed is comfortable, lounge isn’t quite as comfy but we did spend a lot of time on it. It’s a lovely part of the world and at a good price because it’s just a mile back from the shoreline.

Honest review
The accommodation is good, offers plenty of space and is generally clean but sofa & oven needs a good clean. Log fire & hot tub are perfect after a day out exploring.
Kitchen could be better equipped for self-catering, lack of basic utensils and small fridge with compartment freezer.
The garden patio could do with a jet wash. The hot tub was clean but I think had a little too much chlorine in it.
The sofa is ok, but could be better. The beds are really comfortable, clean & fresh.
Overall we had a great time and were able to feel comfortable and relax. A few tweaks could be made.

Curated Egg - Good in parts!
Cottage booked for 4 adults, 1 infant and 3 dogs. Fortunately 2 adults and 1 dog were unable to attend!
The cottage has beautiful rooms up stairs and a good kitchen area. The sitting room area is barely adequate for 2 people and certainly not support 4 adults. The sitting supports 2-3 people with difficulty and is tired and uncomfortable.
The biggest issue is the property is not dog friendly. The courtyard has no gf area and leads straight onto the A30. Similarly the back garden chicken wire fence has holes leading on to the A30.
Overall a very disappointing hire.

Great location, poor execution
Location of the property was fantastic, easy driving distance from all of the places we wanted to visit and not far from a variety of shops. Hot tub was a nice way to relax at the end of a long day.
Overall finish of the property was quite shabby, there were multiple areas where plaster had not been sanded but just painted over, the floor downstars had scratches all over it and the stair railing was really loose at the bootom. The front door had dropped making it difficult to open and close. The oven trays were dirty with burnt on food with no foil to cover them. The extractor fan in the bathroom could also use a good clean.
The toilet seat in the bathroom didn't even fit the toilet, to be honest it wasn't worth having!!
The back garden would have been amazing but for a few small improvements to the fencing, it is a lovely size but just not safe for a small dog! The fencing at the back has rolled up in places where our dog could have easily got through (yes he tried) and would have had full access to a main road. I don't mind supervising my dog in the garden but we had to keep him on a lead at all times because it wasn't safe.
