The house and boat dock were excellent. The pool was terrible. It had green algae on the sides and bottom the first day we checked in (Friday). Immediately reported it to the owner and sent pictures. She responded that the pool guy would be there Sunday. The algae got worse and he came by and looked at it. Monday the water was very green ( wish it was as pictured above because that was one of the main draws for us to rent this place). The pool guy returned Monday night and treated the pool for the algae and by Tuesday morning ( the morning we checked out to go home) the water was clearing up and algae dropping to the bottom of the pool. Suffice it to say we were very disapointed that our grandchildren were not able to enjoy the pool as we planned for them. Again, the house was great, just feel we were shorted because of the condition of the pool.

Great house!

Beautiful home on the water. Saw dolphins and a manatee from the back deck. Great place to bring a boat to tie up on the pier. Our only complaint is that the pier did not have bumpers or padding on the poles to protect our boat from the waves.

Great Location

The stay was amazing and the house was plenty big for our family vacation. The pool was great to have and it was nice to sit out and watch all the boats on the canal. We had 12 people and plenty of room for everyone.

Very nice interior . Plenty of space for a large family of 10 with more than enough sleeping space as well as a fantastic great room with big table and sofa for the entire family to pile around! We had lots of fun watching the boats in and out every day.

Canal Road with Pool

Arrived to find door wide open with no one there. The pool was dirty, and all 3 outside trashcans were full. Rusted nails were found in parking area. Something suspicious with the electricity-lights flickering and dimming. Got a small shock while exiting the pool. During our stay, the pool did get cleaned, the electrician came out on day 6 of our 7 day stay and deemed the pool was safe (finally) and fixed the lighting issue. There were exposed 'hot' wires on the dock that were repaired. Again, on day 6 of our 7 day stay. By the time we left, everything was resolved, with the exception of the trash. So, from now on, this property should be great- I think we were one of the first to stay there after they did renovations. The inside was well decorated, new appliances, and clean. I would suggest a new groundskeeper as the grass had not been cut either. A few loose nails on inside steps and new balcony. Once all of those things get fixed, you couldn't ask for a better spot. We loved being able to bring our boat and hop off and on off the pier. Just ever so thankful that no one in our party touched the wiring! It truly has the makings of a great place to vacation! The 5 bedrooms with the bunkbeds, too, were great. Also, loved the alarm that sounded when the downstairs door closest to the pool alerted anyone upstairs that the door had been opened. Fantastic safety feature for little ones!
