Nice location

This was the perfect location. The pools were awesome! I felt comfortable with my teen daughter walking to the pools by herself. Beach access was amazing. We were in back unit 4th floor and views from both side were amazing. Everyone was super friendly!

The location of the El Matador is at the end of a 2 mile strip of condos/hotels. This was great for us as it felt more private and less busy/obnoxious than the strip itself but with all the restaurants and activities on the island being a quick 10 minute or less drive. Which is perfect for someone or a family that prefers a more quiet environment that is still accessible to all the “fun”. I love the fact that there were two pools, one of which definitely had more traffic than the other which again, perfect for us when we needed some calm space for fun. The only downside, was not of the condo itself but of the Brooks Bridge. Traffic on and off the bridge and to mainland was a nightmare often causing significant wait times. It was faster for me to drive to Target in Destin than it was to get to Target in FWB. So planning any trip to Okaloosa for the foreseeable future I would watch out for that. I did not know ahead of time and would have loved to plan around that a bit better. Otherwise this was a great condo and would definitely stay here again on the next trip!

Perfect Location

We loved Okaloosa Island and this condo is close enough for a short walk to the beach but also had a beautiful view of the sound from the balcony. That was one of our favorite parts of the entire vacation. We wish the en suite bathroom and shower was bigger or maybe laid out a bit better. Otherwise, it was an ideal spot for our trip and we loved staying there. Seriously, we would stay again just for the balcony, it was heaven!

Comfortable stay, bad master shower

The unit was clean and had plenty of space for guests. One complaint is the master shower. It has a large step up to get in and out of it plus it is so small you can just barely turn around. Management should provide liquid soap for the kitchen and bathrooms. It wouldn’t cost them much. I had to go shopping for basic essentials. Other than that our stay was comfortable.

Not pleased at all!

Was told we were right on the beach front to open door and walk out. We were in building 5 which was right on the roadway, had to walk around all the other building to get to the beach! When I called to see what could be done VRBO said nothing could be done wince we booked it through them. Would NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! the owner of the condo would not call us back or even email us to help us get anything done. Not pleased at all.
