Situated in the beautiful vale of Matterdale in almost an acre of grounds, with lovely views, large lawned garden and woodland providing a peaceful haven for bird life and wildlife. Inside the cottage is full of character, with original features including flagged floors, open fires and good quality furnishings. Matterdale lies between Keswick and Penrith, very close to Ullswater and with access from the M6 in 10 minutes.

Great rural setting

Great property, a little chilly in the evenings (the joy of British summer weather). Spectacular location, great walks from the doorstep. We got to see red squirrel in the garden. Plenty of space. Sun room is great to curl up with a book
